The skate and protections we bought from SkateXS were, simply put, perfect. The skateboard is made with outstanding materials and it behaves like a quality-adult skateboard but it is way lighter. My 5 years old loves it. I also needed to modify my order after placing it and, dealing with Bryan was a pleasure. He accommodated all my needs and delivered a product that exceeded my expectations. This skateboard for kids idea is such an amazing concept and so well executed by the folks at SKATEXS. We ordered and received (quickly) the complete beginner board for our 7 year old who we enrolled in skate camp during spring break this year (2022). I have several "standard" boards of my own and there's no way he would have managed the weight and size of one of mine. He would have been discouraged the whole time. The SKATEXS board totally levels the playing field for the younger beginners. The bamboo and deck size and softer wheels are the perfect combination to foster control and confidence right from the start. Our son had a blast, and we're super thankful SKATEXS help skate camp be such a success.

I like that the saver series contains the 3 sets of pads but you can only choose one size for all of them to come in. I really only have an issue with the elbow pads. The straps are stretchy with velcro at the ends to stick onto the body of the pad to be secure. I guess I have smaller elbows so I have to stretch the straps to make them tight but since only the ends have the soft velcro, that means the the pokey velcro on the body of the pad touches the part of the strap that don't have the velcro. So when you take off the elbow pads, the part of the strap that was touching the pokey velcro gets messed up (the strings that make up the fabric are pulled out). I think the source of the smell was from the cardboard box that holds the pads, so just go ahead and place that in the recycling bin.(Originally, I wanted to purchase some 187 Killer Pads but they are more expensive and do not come in a saver series set with all 3 sets of pads.)
I know nothing about skateboarding at all but even I can tell that this is a quality board. My five year old loves it - especially as I let her choose the design and she went for the unicorn (obviously). Love the colors, feels safe and like it will last a good while as she grows with it. Knee pads etc also great - wrist guards have already made their worth known. Highly recommend this company. Oh and considering we got the board customized, it still arrived super-quick.
This is the second set that I have bought for grandkids from SkateXS. The board is gorgeous and the best that you can buy. I also had a few questions prior to purchase and Owner Bryan answered all my questions courteously, graciously, and friendly. I know my grandson will love the Christmas Skateboard!! Thank you, Bryan.
Ryan was an excellent advisor! We purchased a skateboard and noticed that not only the quality but the service was so awesome that we then purchased a helmet and then protective gear. We replaced the ones we bought on Amazon and he also recommended a great skate boarding school. We are extremely thankful and satisfied!
As a new adult skateboarder, these pads do what they need to. I've fallen plenty in my first few weeks, and felt fully protected. I looked a lot at sizing charts for pads while shopping to make sure I was getting something that for, and this sizing was spot on. The knee and elbow pads are not tubes like I initially thought-- they are just Velcro straps. I actually like this even better. Over long pants or bare knees, they stay in place either way for me.
These were perfect! I have a terrible combination of small hands/wrist and being a little on the heavier side, so it's pretty hard to find a safety gear set that will fit me in every place. One Size Fits Most is true for the elbow and knee pads! The wrist guards, which I was still able to get in a small, are comfortable and fit well. The elbow and knee pads are also very comfortable and breathe well. Highly recommend!
My daughter is a little skinny Minnie and these protection pads fit great! The straps are super soft and stretchy so she doesn’t feel like they are cutting into her and I love that each side is the reverse of the other so the straps all go the correct way. They fit greatly and don’t slide. She doesn’t even have to wear jeans in order to keep the knee ones up. The wrist pads give amazing support with an extra buffer between the hand and hard plate. On top of all that, the color is super cute and can match her helmet. 10 out of 10 will be recommending this brand going forward. It’s worth every penny.
