Bought this about a month ago.Positives are, fairly quick and easy to use, only needs a tiny sample to get a reading, stores a l ok t of readings with the time takenNegatives, according to Google apps on the software is not available in the UK so Bluetooth connection only a applies for iphones, not available for Android . Many of the features listed only work with the app As a basic meter it works ok, but it's not advertised or sold as a basic model. Also, when bought it comes with a few lancets but no test strips. Adding those to your purchase almost doubles the price. A final negative is that the Lancet device feels very flimsy and gives the impression it won't last long.

I bought this a few days ago, went to use it and find that it does not come with any tests trips, what a rip off as no good without them. To purchase a box of strips is another £15. Not sure if boots has them.True Metrix need chastising for marketing this without any in the box.

I bought this a couple of days ago. After being diagnosed with diabetes. Used it today because it doesn't come with any testing strips or dispenser. But you can buy both items and at a good price from boots. Some testers don't need a dispenser.They don't come with a travel case. If you don't mind paying alittle bit for strips and a dispenser, then this is for you. Simple to use took two goes. But what do you expect when you have never done it before.

Well now I wish I'd read the reviews first!! I chose this machine as it supposedly connects to an app. BUT NO!! my phone is too up-to-date!! Also no test fluid or test strips, after spending out another £20 for the strips I then realise about the App!! So I'm not sure if the reading is true or not feel a bit robbed now to be honest! Real shame Boots!
Just bought it today in emergency , my last meter broken . This was the only model available in the big store . Sales advisor was clueless about its feature or use. Very disappointed to know I was not allowed to open it to know it doesn’t come with lancet or strips which was over priced . The lancet device is fiddly and difficult to use . Meter has no light to see in the dark . Who needed blue tooth facility which doesn’t even work ? Price of test strips and lancets are more pricey than the meter.
Waste of time because you cannot get the control solution to check its accuracy. It states you should use a control solution before first use. you cannot get the control solution in this country. DO NOT waste your money
Bought this in February and never got round to using it until today. What a load of rubbish! Didn’t realise there were No test strips so started testing and couldn’t complete! Too late to take it back so I’m afraid I’ve wasted my money!
Bought the cheaper version of this and the lancet broke within a few days, returned to Boots who were out of stock, so paid the difference and got this one, just went to use and no test strips, even though the cheaper version had 50 test strips with it. Test strips are £15! What a waste of money, would not purchase again and I'm going back to Boots to hopefully get a refund and a different one completely.
The meter arrived with McCesson stamped on the front of the meter. The box stated that it was only for McCesson test strips. It does however work with non McCesson test strips (True Metrix). I think it was a little misleading since the picture of the item does not contain the word McCesson. It does work though and that is the most important thing.
Just purchased this machine 2 days ago, didn't come with any strips so purchased 50 at a cost of £19.99 which I think is a rip off. used it yesterday and this morning & the readings are all over the place, it took 24 strips to get 3 readings. This machine is rubbish it doesn't work as it should it's a waste of money. My advice is spend more money on a better quality machine. This machine is going in the bin
