Very happy with this purchase. Have chosen to use the fire pit as a water feature in our courtyard. Have rated it a 4 because when it is filled with water the orange rust comes off a bit. I'm hoping this will settle after we have rinsed it a few more times. Other than that it looks lovely and was well priced. Love that in winter we can use for fire too.
Love the fire pit but I'd be very reluctant to use it is a water feature. Cast iron with water makes for a perfect breeding ground for mozies as the water goes pretty dark within days. I guess you could put something in the water to stop it going yucky. But it will still leach out the red iron. Otherwise it's fine for what it's meant to be and looks good.
Great product, works well. fill up the base bowl with sand to protect the heat from damaging the product and the fire then also gets enough air. Solid and thick metal. Love it!
I love the size of this fire pit and the thickness of the metal bowl. The only thing I'm not satisfied with is how different the rust finish is on the bowl compared to the base. They are different weight metal material, maybe the composition of the metals is different? Something has effected the finish and made them vary a lot?
Ordered on the Monday, arrived Tuesday morning at 8am. Can't get much faster than that. The design is simple and foolproof. The 3mm steel will see it lasting many years in the backyard. Nothing like bringing the family together around the fire in the backyard during the Viral Apocalypse!
Love my firepit. Looks great, burns great. Doesn’t chop its own firewood though?
This is such a beautiful product! Fabulous quality, lovely surface finish that is aging beautifully as we keep using it. Couldn't rate it more highly.
