Amazing headset!! This device has all the features you need as a console gamer. It does have an app that is mediocre and really only valuable for pc gamers. The app does not allow for mic sensitivity toggling (to eliminate background noise) which I found very disappointing because I have a son who is usually in the background and the mic will occasionally pick up the noise but most of the time it will block it. The mute button is huge and super easy to find while playing. The headset comes with a 3.5mm cable which includes an inline mic and volume control buttons! The device folds up like you wouldn’t believe, when you open the package your like surprised by how small they can get, making it super easy to throw in a laptop bag, plus it has a storage slot fit the usb transmitter (many others do not have this). It also fits snug to your head so it won’t fall off no matter how you move... but its also isn’t so tight it gives me a headache after playing for a few hours. If you’re a pc gamer, it has the super-hearing features and after trying 5 or 6 different headsets, this was the ONLY ONE that met all my (super-picky) needs. The price is reasonable too! I liked this headset better than the 250.00+ dollar devices I tried! If you don’t want to waste time trying devices and returning them, just start with this masterpiece! I wish the guys at Best Buy knew how great this product is, it would have saved me a lot of trouble! The only thing that gave me issues is the variable mic monitoring which lets you hear and adjust the volume inside the headset, it allows you to remap buttons and if you accidentally press it, your volume will not work until you reset it. The perk is not worth the annoyance of accidentally hitting the remap button. Oh and it has a 30 hour battery life which was better than almost every other headset I tried! You gotta get this device if you’re in need.

I was so excited for these. I never experienced the limited use clause before. All the fancy buttons on headset like super hearing and all that don’t work for Xbox. Even the mic don’t work for Xbox so it may say pc and Xbox but real little or not all on most advertisements it says limited ability or something. Meaning. When on Xbox have to plug into controller and no super hearing or anything that has a button on the headset works. Other then volume up or down. The mic don’t even work when on Xbox. So you can hear that it is it and can’t go wireless for Xbox. Everything is for pc. Wireless superhuman hearing. The entire turtle beach app with headset audio adjustments is also only for pc.

The quality of sound is Great, very comfortable and looks sweet. The wheel is responsive and adjusts comfortably aswell. However, the mic is incredibly sensitive; if you touch your mic to adjust it, it will make a thump sound and scratching. The app doesn't seem to work either, it keeps making me re-install the application over and over. It notices it's not properly installed. I've completely un-installed it and did a fresh install again, but with the same problem.Tech support has been very helpful assisting me with the issues. Some complications are not yet resolved, but I'm confident they will figure it out. I'd give a 5 Star if it wasn't for all the issues.

I got the Turtle Beach - Elite Atlas Aero headphones to be all around headphones. When I purchase headphones I generally look for sound quality and comfort, however with gaming headphones I prioritize comfort and usability. I found that the Elite Atlas Aero headphones are extremely comfortable around my ears, however the frame is a bit tight on my head. There doesn't seem to be any delay between the audio and image which is ideal (especially for gaming). As for wired, there isn't much of a difference between the headphones with or without the wire besides the wire getting in the way. I typically don't mind wired headphones especially since it allows you to use the headphones when you forget to charge them. Speaking of the charge, I have charged my headphones over a week ago and have gotten several hour of use without need for an additional charge. The microphone works well and doesn't get in the way and I really like that you can attach and detach the microphone when you want to use it or not. I like that all of my volume switches are located behind the left earphone. One of my concerns with the headphones are that the directions are poor. The headphones don't come with any instructions on how to charge them, use them, or anything else. I know headphones are straight forward but you cannot plug in the Turtle Beach headphones and use them straight from the box. You have to download an additional software to manage them while you game which I found out by googling if there were any online setup directions. However, My biggest concerns with the headphones which resulted me in taking 1 star off of my review was that the headphones are very quiet. Even at 100% volume the headphones have are not very loud. If the headphones didn't have so much else going for them I would have taken away more than one star. The sound quality despite being quiet is decent for gaming headphones but not great for music. Ultimately, I would absolutely recommend these headphones for someone who is looking to game, however if you are looking to listen to more music with your headphones then I would recommend a brand more focused on music quality.
These are my first gaming headphones. I like the construction and how compact it is when stored away. They fit my large head perfectly. I was able to watch a 2 hour movie and played DOTA 2 for a couple of hours without feeling fatigue. They felt fairly comfortable but it would probably feel a little fatiguing to wear for much longer than a few hours. This might be because I’m not really used to wearing headphones. The installation was very easy. I plugged in the tiny wireless adapter into my computer’s USB port and plugged in a USB charging cable to charge the headphones. The initial charging took about 30 minutes and it’s supposed to last 30 hours per charge. The initial charging took about 30 minutes and it’s supposed to last 30 hours per charge. I’ve been using these headphones for a few days (at a couple of hours each day) without needing to recharge so battery life does seem excellent. There was a piece of paper with instructions that provided a link to download and install the Turtle Beach Control Studio application that can be used to customize the sound. When starting up, the application stated that it couldn’t find any drivers so it proceeded to download them and everything seems to work perfectly after that. The microphone attached easily (but make sure it is oriented correctly or it won’t plug in) and I like the flexibility of being able to adjust the position of the microphone. On the left ear piece there are two volume adjustments (one for chat and the other for the master volume), the power button, the mic input, a mic mute button, a wired audio input for connecting to a game system or other audio device, and a remappable macro button that can be used to activate Superhuman hearing. The headphones quickly connected after pressing the power button. The connection seemed solid and I never experienced any drop-outs. I played around with the volume, 3D Audio, Game Spatializer and Superhuman Hearing settings. The sound quality was fantastic. Music and movies sounded great on the headphones with crisp clear dialog and good bass. At first I was disappointed with sound from watching movies, but then I realize that I had to set Power DVD to use TrueTheatre Surround Sound instead of the Stereo Headphones and then the sound stage opened up and became more immersive.Games such as DOTA 2 sounds great with crisp vocals and effects. I don’t really play much FPS games since I get a little nauseous from them so I didn’t really get a chance to see how effective something like Superhuman hearing would be. From activating it, it just seems to make things sound louder with an emphasis on certain frequencies like vocals.I was not able to use chat in a game but I did make an audio recording using the microphone and I thought my voice sounded very clear. I usually don’t like the sound of my voice but I thought I actually sounded good in the recording. The Turtle Beach Elite Atlas Aero seems to only be usable wirelessly from a Windows 10 PC. You can use it on an Xbox One (or other game systems) using the wired connection. I’m hoping that Turtle Beach can update it so it can be used wirelessly from an Xbox One because these would make great headphones to wear while watching a movie late at night without worrying about disturbing your family.Overall, I would recommend these headphones. They are comfortable and provide great sound for music, movies and games.
For years I have been using a high end set of audiophile headphones with a separate mic, and decided it was time to try a more convenient solution designed specifically for online gaming.I was a little nervous that a "gaming grade" headset would feel cheap and flimsy, or would have really poor audio quality and latency issues due to the wireless nature. It turned out to be the opposite. The Turtle Beach Elite Atlas Aero is nearly perfect. These "Atlas Aero" headphones are a well engineered product and I was immediately excited to put them on when I saw and felt the build quality. The Turtle Beach Elite Atlas Aero is nearly perfect. These "Atlas Aero" headphones are a well engineered product and I was immediately excited to put them on when I saw and felt the build quality. They are extremely comfortable and feel very solid - there is no question to me that they will last a long time. The Pro specs feature where you can adjust them to fit around your glasses is something I did not know about until I read the manual and I am super pleased to report it works well and was very comfortable.Audio quality upon first impression with the included "mobile" cable (which doubles as a mic when using on a phone or Xbox) was 'good enough' considering the price and intended usage. I did not assume these are audiophile grade and they are not - but they have great bass and detailed midrange which is what you want for gaming. No stars detracted for that.Mic quality is very good and I've had no complaints at all about my voice quality in discord with my guildies. I even used the Atlas Aero for a weekly conference call I host at work and got good reports from my colleagues. I'm excited that I'll be freed up with the wireless nature of the headset.I really liked being able to use the second dial on the headset for hearing my own voice through the mic (not for my own voice really, but to hear how much background noise it was picking up).Build and audio quality aside, the best part about this headset is the app and software features. The Waves 3D audio feature is AWESOME and adds a huge open soundstage and some 3D positional processing that works very well. I was not expecting to like that so much. Additionally the software allows you to customize the buttons and volume dial on the headset, giving you the ability to mute on the fly (or enable Turtle Beach's gaming enhancement features). The wireless dongle of the headset was easy to use and instantly paired when I powered on the headset. It has worked on both my gaming PC (where I also installed the software) and on my work laptop (where I did not install the software). Without the software you miss out on the 3D audio but it worked great for my meeting software.Overall I give them 5 stars. At this price I don't think you'll find anything approaching the build quality of the Atlas Aero, and they truly work great in wireless mode. Perhaps the only feature I wish they had was bluetooth, but I imagine that would complicate things since these are targeted at PC gamers.
To start off, the wireless experience is amazing. I’ve used a wired headset for gaming and for work, and while they work great that cord is a pain because if it has a 1% chance to get caught on something, it will. Not to mention the distance restriction if I need to stand up and grab something close by.The headphones are a very nice quality build. They have a little weight to them and solid material. The cushions are comfortable when on and it stays on well. These headphones have built-in controls right on the headset, especially the volume which is a nice quick way to adjust as opposed to the computer function keys. The microphone is removable which is great and for the size does a nice job of folding up, which I keep them in my laptop backpack to share between ... MoreTo start off, the wireless experience is amazing. The microphone is removable which is great and for the size does a nice job of folding up, which I keep them in my laptop backpack to share between my home and work PC.The sound quality has been great, and even better than most headphones I’ve used since the headset fits snug and blocks out plenty of outside noise so sounds come in clearer. I’ve used it for gaming (Doom – probably not the best choice of game to use these on lol, if you’ve played it before you know what I’m talking about!) and for work. The battery life is quoted to last up to 30 hours, I’ve only charged it once when I got it and used it for several hour sessions and its still kicking. Has an auto shutoff feature to help conserve juice as well.Setup is very easy. Plug and play, however you can download their software/driver, the Turtle Beach Control studio which is an extensive control panel for the headset and you can store presets for different scenarios. The instructions aren’t the best, took me awhile with some research to figure out where the usb adapter goes, come to find out the Right ear cushion comes off the headphones and there is a slot. One possible downside is if you have a sensitive head discomfort my occur after wearing them for a long time cause of the weight along with the firm, yet comfortable grip, but it never bothered me that much after a long period of time.Overall I think it’s a great wireless headphone, wireless is definitely the way to go and if you want something of quality for gaming or even if you’re somewhat an audiophile, you’ll love the controls and options of these for your PC.
So many issues with this headset.1. Driver install loop bug, control panel cant detect the driver often and needs to be reinstalled a very specific way that always ends up requiring an entire pc restart.2. Mic monitoring is on upon activating headset each time, have to turn it off each time.3. Uncomfortable4. Volume and mic wheel on back cant be disabled and turn if anything touches them in the slightest, IE: a pillow if in bed, or most commonly my vr headset cable grazing it. Just bad placement for such buttons it seems.5. Control panel doesnt have enough options for the buttons on the back of the headset, i couldn’t find any option to simply disable them to just use the volume control on the pc.6. Albeit a tad bit uncomfortable on my larger ears despite the deeper pads this headset is very Premium in feel. Quality products, great audio, great microphones, cheap cost.Albeit primarily comprised of plastic this headset does NOT feel like it is. There is a very hefty weight to it that honestly feels "weightless" on your head. The clamping force is a bit much, but compared to my 600 that would slide off just from leaning my head back to take a drink it's a warm addition to have, honestly. It does press your ears against the cups, but the speaker covers are designed in a way where you can tell they tried to prevent that, so it's likely just from my cauliflower ears and I can't blame them for my history in the cage. The earcups don't sweat, cancel out a good bit of external noise unless you turn on the active mic monitoring (then you can hear EVERYTHING around you) - which is a plus for work from home parents like me- even though it doesn't pick it all up and feel GREAT with both pairs of my corrective lenses thanks to the "stem slots" that are adjustable within the padding.Replaceable earcups are a great thing to have as well, and they clean off SUPER easy compared to the Stealth 600. No annoying nooks, and crannies that you "just can't get to in order to clean out dead skin, or dust. The microphone CAN be moved, but I've come to find that it generally "doesn't move much" despite the adjustable arm. It's very limited, and tends to find its way back to a position that finds me listening to my nose, and that drives me nuts. It's bluetooth, but locked to the pairing receiver which is absolutely IGNORANT, and the range is sub-par at best. I have a 1300 sq. ft. apartment that's pretty much a perfect rectangle, and this headset can't go 15ft from the receiver in certain directions before I start getting really annoying audible oddities depending on how many walls it's trying to transmit through. I put it in a USB extender and honestly that made it WORSE.The microphone quality sounds great for wireless, and the audio input quality matches much the same minus one VERY annoying issue (for me) - I can hear all the way up to 22550khz which is admittedly higher than most people, and also higher than the specifications of most headphones/headsets. However, these are rated for 12Hz-20kHz and they stop dead at 15kHz flat. The default EQ is SUPER flat, and requires some tweaking - it's NOTHING like the "signature sound" found on the stealth 600, or 700, but once you get it dialed in it sounds AMAZING. I've counted numerous points where I thought someone was jamming their subwoofer, and realized it was ambient bass tones in a game, or music I was listening to that I just never noticed before on my Stealth 600's.The headset's earcups do pivot, and I've found the tension on this motion to be 100% "accurate" in that it doesn't take an extreme amount of force to twist them, but chewing a snack with them on won't cause them to move like it did on the 600's that had no support or resistance whatsoever.Battery life seems to be meeting expectations. I'm frequently at my computer 10+ hours a day and I've had numerous times already that I've been able to pick it up, and use it for a second session without issue. I haven't TIMED it, but I'd say it's definitely up to snub.Overall other than a few minor complaints (one of which is likely more "me than the headset") I'd say (for most people I'd recommend this headset. For others I'd say to go with the Corsair Virtuoso if you're concerned about mic Quality. If mic quality is NOT a concern for you the Steelseries Arctis 7 or Pro's or the Astro A50's are the way to go .
The Elite Atlas Aero Wireless headset works great. I hope it lasts longer than the wired version I had which broke over one earpiece after I took it off one night.
