I've been playing with this controller for almost two months now and I've been, overall, really happy with it. It's responsive, impressively ergonomic and very light. The USB cord is of substantial quality; I expect that to be the last thing to break on this controller. Also, it looks stunning. The only issues I have with it are:1. The materials feel a little cheaper than the Microsoft controller; however, the difference is minuscule and, probably, subjective anyway2. A personal issue I've had is a small amount of stick drift in the LS, probably because of springs loosening up slightly; again, not a big problem because Turtle Beach offer a 1-year warranty.

To start off with, this controller works amazingly on my main system, my PC! I started using it and loved how it felt compared to my standard Xbox controller. The bumps on the triggers, as well as the extra ones in the back make playing on it very enjoyable. The only issue with that is I lose some of the Audio functionality using it on my computer. I also tested it on the Xbox, and it works great, the Audio functionality and different controller profiles came in handy, and so far is my favorite controller.I’m only rating this for 4 stars since it is a great controller, but the profiles on the controller aren’t the easiest to set up, it is much too light at the bottom, and the buttons/triggers feel less durable compared to a normal controller.Pros:- Excellent ... MoreTo start off with, this controller works amazingly on my main system, my PC! So! I didn't buy this at Best Buy BUT I basically buy everything at Best Buy so wanted to share a review.I was cross shopping this, Kishi V2 and Backbone for my Android. I have an OtterBox on my S10+ And wanted something I could easily plug and play (Hopefully without removing the case). I had the Kishi V2 for a week but the need to remove my case was annoying to say the least, The thumbsticks felt cheap and everything was just meh. I got this next as it was on sale for $80 and after a week with it, it's phenomenal. I only wanted it to cloud Gamepass which it's specifically designed for (Can use Gforce and Steam, just note there is no dedicated button for that). The controller feels good in hand and I don't even have to remove the case! The buttons and sticks feel like an xbox controller which is amazing and it charges in just 2 hours to give you 22 hours of life. There is literally 0 input lag even though it's bluetooth, Only issue is the back feels flimsy as there is no back, so if you squeeze your controller for to long in an intense game match you might accidentally pop the controller off but it rarely happens. One HUGE THING GO NOTE: At first I was about ready to yeet and delete the controller because it didn't work, only the left side would pair and the bluetooth light kepy blinking while the right side white light didn't turn on. I downloaded the Atom app and was able to update both side of the remote but then the right side would still not pair, it was annoying AF. What I found out is, you need to hold B and the 3 bar Hamburger Icon (Start Button) at the same time to power on the right side. NOWHERE in the manual does it say this, I only did it because it told me to do it during the update phase in which I said, let me try that to reset it and boom it worked. Turtle Beach HAS to include this somewhere or these will be returned like no tomorrow.Overall it's and amazing gamepad!

Overall The product is really cool. I have yet to be able to get the controller to work with windows 11 while in wireless mode. I have only been able to use it on a PC with a wired connection. Not the end of the world. There is no vibration unless wired to the console. The P1 and P2 buttons on the back can only remap existing buttons on the controller, not keyboard functions. The D-pad is really stiff and kinda tiresome to push a lot. There are some mobile games I haven't been able to get to recognize the controller. COD Mobile to be specific. The phone arm is awesome and works well. Overall I like it but still feel a little unsatisfied. If it worked wirelessly to PC with feedback and keys were remappable with software I would be way happier.
The controller was great the first few months until my original cord started shortening out, contacted support and got a new cord. It's not even a turtle beach cord, it's wayyyyy shorter than the original one. After like 5 months of having the controller, it would randomly disconnect while I'm playing games, reconnect and disconnect again. The controller likes to lie and say that your mic is muted, but still pick up audio. If you have anything programed to the back paddles, it'll just completely delete everything midgame when it disconnects. I took care of my controller since day 1, placing it back into the box it came in with the cord wrapped up and put up also, at this point I'm just gonna get a different brand. Yall tried at least.
I suppose I have become spoiled witn the Kishi mobile controller, but needed something different since upgrading my phone. I liked the idea of this controller: (1) Could prop my phone and use controller separately or attach it (2) personalize controls based on playing style. But it felt awkward attaching it to my phone: (1) perhaps because of my smaller hands (2) the adjustable clasp annoyingly caught on my screen protector and started peeling it if not attached just so. These were fine to work around. It was WHILE I was trying to enjoy Atomic Heart that controller decided to freakin DIE that made me take this mess back!!!! I should be enough that my phone has a charge. You mean I have to consider charging THIS CONTROLLER TOO?! Absolutely not. Give me my plug-n-play ... MoreI suppose I have become spoiled witn the Kishi mobile controller, but needed something different since upgrading my phone. This came in about a month ago and I have been testing it on separate styles of games ever since. I think this controller is good, but not great. I would purchase it over a Microsoft issued controller, but I do think there are other controllers out there that are better. Personally if I’m going to buy a non-Microsoft controller, I’m going to buy one with buttons that are more sensitive than a standard controller. I once owned a Razer Sabertooth controller that had extremely sensitive ABXY buttons which come in handy with various kinds of games. I would say though, that’s my biggest gripe about this product. My second issue was testing the Aim Assist feature on the controller, I felt that being able to adjust my joystick sensitivity in the middle of a match on an FPS ... MoreThis came in about a month ago and I have been testing it on separate styles of games ever since. My second issue was testing the Aim Assist feature on the controller, I felt that being able to adjust my joystick sensitivity in the middle of a match on an FPS game did not really effect my ability to aim better. I felt that the ability to adjust the volume or mute the microphone on the controller was very inventive and cool! I did map the buttons on the back of this controller and felt that the feature was definitely handy. I liked that the connection was a lightning quick usb-c connection, which provides quick input timing. The price is certainly right for this product because it is the same price as Microsoft issued controllers but with way more features. If I were looking to buy a controller I would buy this controller over a Razer, based on the price of a Razer vs this one, even though I have great prior experience with a Razer.
Some of the controller felt a little cheap, like the spongey D-pad and bumpers that no longer click, which as fine. I expected as much. But where you really feel the price of this thing is in its internals. When plugging in headphones, the audio sounds really nasty. Low quality, complete lack of bass, and tinny. And even worse, for whatever reason it also interferes with your microphone. People couldn't hear half of my sentences, and every one ended with a bit of static.I can only in good conscience recommend this if it's not intended to be used with a headset. Which is what I suspect is the intended hustle with this thing. If you're PC gaming with this thing? You'll get a bargain.
As an older gamer, I've had plenty of time to comprehend the full definitions of versatility, utility and functionality in regard to gaming hardware. Folks, when a gaming peripheral is engineered to work across multiple gaming platforms, you need to get really interested in it. Why? Most importantly, gaming on multiple platforms with one device rather than one device per platform. Secondly, if it works well, why not use it? This is the case with the Turtle Beach Recon Cloud Hybrid Wireless Gaming Controller! A very excellent piece of gaming hardware. It works! It works very well! Get it!
Vibration/feedback is no better than/the same as a regular S Series controller. I did not notice any better responsiveness than a generic controller; the back LDS buttons for enhanced sensitivity yielded no difference at all. Sound control was easy, but that's it. The "superhuman sound" was just a louder volume, and it didn't mesh well with Battlefield 2042's 3D Headset or regular headset volume options. The trigger buttons are over-large, feel like cheap plastic, and have worse tactile feel and placement than a generic Xbox controller. I have fairly large hands and fingers and I almost need to release the controller to reach the D-pad with right thumb or substantially shift my left hand to reach it correctly.Add all of that together with the controller required to be wired--and getting a paltry 10 ft USB-A to USB-C cable--makes the entire experience feel both cheap and overcomplicated. Get yourself a generic controller over this mess. I'm beyond disappointed in Turtle Beach, and I definitely won't be going with their products in the near future.
