Battery life is around the 20 hour mark, I haven't counted so maybe longer and does tell you when your battery level is low which gives you around 20-30 mins battery left with multiple more warning in between. Battery life is around the 20 hour mark, I haven't counted so maybe longer and does tell you when your battery level is low which gives you around 20-30 mins battery left with multiple more warning in between. The overall build of the headset is great and designed almost very well in quality, however after 1 year of use the joint in one headphone ear has snapped from mine just from general use which for the price to pay is disappointing which is the only reason for the 4 star review, plus the headband is very tight and for long gaming sessions can become uncomfortable and for me would cause headaches which would last hours if I wore them for more than 3 hours so regular breaks of 15mins+ would be needed I would say every hour of use. The battery life is great and charges up fairly fast. The mic quality is of a good standard I would say, me and my friends all have the same headset and all sound pretty clear. One thing we all have in common is that the headset from time to time will randomly disconnect or when the console has first started up you will need to turn off and on the headset a few times for it to actually connect and stay connected for longer than a few seconds before it disconnects without warning. Overall this headset is good, the bad sides are all honest key points I had with this device and unfortunately has out me off buying a new one and gone looking elsewhere. However for the price it can be beaten on quality of sound and what you get with this headset, it's a real market leader in price and quality, the main thing for me is the build quality in the joints should made with better material than just plastic or atleast supply a replacement part as I've had to glue mine back and have no movement in one ear (which can become uncomfortable) i will wait for another model to come out but for now I will probably move over to razer or steel series until that happens

5 star product after breaking it in

This headset is not a perfect product, but it's still a 5 star product. I was looking for an upgrade over the Astro A20s as that headset becomes uncomfortable to wear during long gaming sessions, which I would be starting to do again after buying an Xbox Series X.Out of the box, this headset clamps uncomfortably hard on your head and is enough to make you want to return the set and go with something like the Steelseries Arctis 9x. However, if you stretch the headband out by gently pulling the ear cans apart a dozen time, the clamping pressure eases greatly. After gaming with them for 4 or 5 hours per night for the last week, the clamping pressure has relaxed even further and I would now describe them as "comfortably snug".The build quality is what I would expect ... MoreThis headset is not a perfect product, but it's still a 5 star product. After gaming with them for 4 or 5 hours per night for the last week, the clamping pressure has relaxed even further and I would now describe them as "comfortably snug".The build quality is what I would expect for a more expensive set from Turtle Beach, though I have doubts about whether it would stand the test of time that a more expensive set has. I've had a set of Astro A40s from 2012 that are still going strong and still look and work great. I doubt the Turtle Beach set will last 10 years due to the battery alone and I don't believe Turtle Beach would support a product for that length of time considering they refresh their product line every year or two. For this reason alone, I would highly recommend checking if a credit card you use offers any additional purchase protection such as an extended warranty that kicks in when the manufacturer's warranty ends. This way, if you buy the headset on a credit card and something unexpectedly happens to it after Turtle Beach's warranty ends, you'll be covered for the cost of repairs or more likely a new set of equal value. The padding on the ear cans is plush and comfortable. I have noticed that sweat does not build up around my ears as it did with my Astro A20 set. I would attribute this to the cooling gel infused into the foam in padding of the ear cans. The sound quality of this headset is pretty great. Playing Resident Evil VIII with this headset highlights all the little nuanced noises that game wants you to hear that ends up getting drowned out when you only use TV speakers or even a soundbar. In competitive games, the superhuman hearing feature increases the treble frequencies to highlight enemy footsteps and cuts out the bass frequencies so that explosions don't drown out important audio cues, however this makes the immersive game audio sound unnatural and off putting. If you're going to use that sound profile, it will take some getting used to.The features of this headset that swayed me to buy this set over the Steelseries Arctis 9x are a flip to mute mic, seperate volume controls for game and chat audio instead of a "balance" or "mixer" type control, USB-C charging and lower latency audio (comparitively to the Arctis 9x).In conclusion, out of the box, this is a 4.5 star product. After you've broken it in and the clamping pressure has relaxed, it turns into a 5 star product. I would like to see Turtle Beach address the clamping pressure as just about every journalism review of this set mentions the clamping pressure as an issue. However if you stick with this set and break it in, you won't be disappointed. A final note is that when using this headset with the Xbox, the headset doesn't come to life unless you use the Dolby Atmos for headphones option available in your settings. It's worth the extra $15 CAD as Windows Sonic doesn't do justice to this headset.

The USB does have a little switch on the side to switch back and forth between PC and PS. Originally, I was not a big fan of the USB connection because it sticks out a bit if you plug in the front, but after noticing the how low latency between the game play and picture synchronization I changed my mind.3D Audio Experience with PS5 – The 3D audio technology takes your gaming experience to a whole ‘nother level. The audio allows you to hear your enemies and even figure out how far away they are. Now I have tested this feature in Warzone, and It is scary how well that feature works and made gaming even more entertaining. I could hear people around me and even closing the distance on me. It was super cool and even helped me get some more kills.Flip-Up Microphone – This is pretty much self-explanatory. You can flip up the microphone when it is not needed and the audio quality is nice and clear even on phone calls, no issues there.WEAR – The headphones are lightweight, durable, and super comfortable. The ear cushions are made of plush memory foam infused with a layer of cooling gel to keep you comfortable for extended wear. I used these for a few gaming sessions which lasted a few hours, and they were super comfortable. The headset is designed for be glasses friendly and are also adjustable for a better fit.Battery Life and Charing – These headphones have a battery life of about 40+ hours. The headphones are rechargeable with the provided USB-C cable. Now, I haven’t tested out the full battery life to see if it lasts the full 40 hours but for my gaming sessions that last about 4 to 5 hours they work flawlessly.Overall, these headphones are simply amazing. They are super comfortable, they sound great especially with 3D audio with PS5 and are versatile. Probably the only pair you will ever need.

Big Step in the right direction from Gen 1

Long time owner of several generations of Turtle Beach headphones. Audio is always amazing, but every previous set has broken near the ear cup where the headband was plastic. This model has a metal reinforced band that I am hoping will fix that problem. Just prior to this purchase, I used the Stealth 700 Gen1 and my biggest issue was that the mic pickup was not sensitive enough. I felt like I had to yell for teammates to hear my voice comms. The Gen2 mic is already many times better and picks up voice comms easily and transmits clearly. The ear cups are also an upgrade from Gen 1 and the headband feels more comfortable as well. The Gen 1 usually got about 8-10 hours of gameplay from a single charge, but the Stealth 700 Gen2 appears to last close to 20 hours of play ... MoreLong time owner of several generations of Turtle Beach headphones. Overall seems like they made some good adjustments to engineering and ergonomics of the headset.

The first ones I got I had to return and exchange the following day due to a buzzing sound in one side. BestBuy is and has always been phenomenal with their customer service, so this review in no way represents them. They're great! The pair I got in exchange have amazing sound quality like nothing I've ever experienced. Movies/shows, games, music. It all sounds so much better with these. The problem is that they've only lasted for maybe eight months and now they practically just don't work anymore. They cut out and go silent, and it varies from 2-3 times a minute to 2-3 times every twenty minutes. Sometimes they'll be completely fine for a couple of hours. Either way it's very annoying to have to turn them off and on again every time it happens. All in all, sound quality is great when they work. Maybe I need to simply upgrade to something more expensive to get more for my money, but I dunno. For $170 I would have liked to have gotten at least a year or two out of them.

Great headset for smaller heads

First impression was that they were luxury. The refurbished headset was clean and free of defects. I believe they would have lasted a long time. The materials are soft and supple, very comfortable. The entire set is a little heavy, I wouldn’t wear them for long gaming/listening sessions. The audio was great. The earphones dampened the exterior sounds really well. The ear phones fit comfortably over the ears and on top of the head. The Bluetooth function was easy and a great convenience for switching between game and phone audio. My only major complaint (and the reason I returned them) is that the headset created too much pressure against the side of my head. It was a no go for my large melon. Otherwise I would recommend. Comfy, great sound, nice materials, convenient Bluetooth.

Great headset…better if bought new
1 August 2022

A great headset compared to the Stealth 700 Gen 1s (which I had for about 4 years or so before they stopped working). Much more comfortable and honestly the adjustable piece inside the ear pad is nice for me as that was a point of failure for the last headset. These headphones feel considerably more durable and overall better made then the 700 Gen 1s. Battery is decent, only really needing to be charged (for my usage) every few days. These headphones have a big sound to them, can be a little bassy sometimes, but they’re gaming headphones so this is to be expected (and fun depending on what you’re playing). Wireless connection is relatively consistent, although it does take a moment to connect to the transmitter after powering on. Volume control for bluetooth media is wonky and does not work well, but controlling the volume on your own bluetooth device is simple enough most of the time. The dual-wireless connection was a big selling point for me, works well. Refurbished unit arrived with some cosmetic defects. One of the thin mesh pieces that covers the driver within the right cup was missing glue along the top and is very loose. The left cup creaks quite a bit where there is any movement, which is really annoying honestly and sounds as if the plastic is rubbing against itself, which gives me reliability concerns.

Not for XL heads, good features, would buy again
27 November 2022

Grab a tape measure and measure your head, google how to measure a hat. My brim size is 23.5 which is an XL. These things hurt, the clamping force is moderate. Definitely noticeable and painful after 20 minutes. I love the features on this but because of the size, the "glasses channel" are nonexistent. If you are a teen or have a 'less than large adult head" then this may be a good fit for you. But looking at other online reviews, people are bending this thing on a regular basis to stretch out the headset and decreasing the clamping force. The bluetooth is awesome, you can easily get 6 feet from your phone without issue. The wireless is pretty good, 15 feet and one wall, no problem. 25 feet and 3 walls, then you start experiencing connectivity issues.Honestly, ... MoreGrab a tape measure and measure your head, google how to measure a hat. The app is decent for tweaking your sound. If I was in elementary school this would be amazing. The Razer Blacksharks, Kraken and Barracudas are all a non issue for clamping force by comparison. Cloud 2 wired are also fine for my 23.5 inch head. The Corsair HS60 Haptics have a slightly stronger clamping force than the Cloud2s but no where near this vice like grip. Since you are looking at this headset, you already know the issues with big heads and Steelseries headsets. The same features are in the Arctis 9 and Arctis Nova 7 (2022)- but big heads and Steelseries don't mix. If you want a headset that you can take on trips and not have to worry about losing the mic (unlike the Barracuda 2022) this is a USB-C & Bluetooth headset for you.

One of the most comfortable gaming headsets I have
6 December 2022

I have owned dozens of headsets and I can say that this new Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max is very comfortable to wear even after hours of gaming.Out of the box, it looks and feels nice. I have to admit that it did not give me the wow factor when it comes to the style but for me, comfort and sound quality is much more important than style and this headset totally delivers in those 2 areas. Not only it is comfortable, but the noise isolation is also really good as I can barely hear any background noise when I have it on.When it comes to sound quality, it sounded really good. I used the headset for gaming but also had it on for my work conference calls today and the audio was crisp, loud and clear. People on the other end also told me I sounded really clear on ... MoreI have owned dozens of headsets and I can say that this new Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max is very comfortable to wear even after hours of gaming.Out of the box, it looks and feels nice. Turtle Beach really did a good job on this one and it goes without saying that the Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max is getting a perfect rating from me.

[PS5] Do your wallet a favor and pass on this headset...
10 June 2022

I bought this because I was expecting it to be better than my Pulse 3D Headset by Sony for PS5. However, I'll be honest, this headset didn't meet any of my expectations based on it's spec descriptions. The 3D audio on PS5 sounds god-awful with this headset, and the "Superhuman" hearing is a joke. The app constantly crashes and doesn't save your presets. Despite their claims on the website, there IS NOT a way to adjust game chat/party chat volume independently from game volume. The sound quality is just mediocre at best. It's extremely bass heavy with an echo-like effect. Honestly, I get better audio quality from a $10 pair of earbuds. The only positive point I can give this headset is the Glasses Notch that's built into the ear cushions. Every other aspect is exponentially better for other headsets in this price range.I'm going to be returning this headset since it doesn't meet my expectations, and has left me feeling very unsatisfied with my purchase. The headset cost me 8.7 work hours to afford, so basically an entire day of pay. This kind of purchase isn't easy to justify when you live paycheck to paycheck.
