I always like to try new products if and when I can.People in my family had always used Color Magic and swore by it.I decided to try this on my car especially since you can buy it to match the colour of your car and it fills in the scratches.I just didn't like it. I found it really hard to remove once applied and I kept going back to the car to buff off patches I missed.I also felt it left the car really dull looking.I did not try the little touch up pen so I cannot comment on how well that works.The other reviewrs here seem to love it so I could be wrong but it's just my opinion on my car which is a few years old.Maybe it works better on newer paint.
My front bumper and rear arches have the typical, road rash / peppered stone chips - to the point where I thought a respray would be in order.I'm not proclaiming that the chips have disappeared completely, however unless getting really up close and personal, the car looks 100x better! Certainly worth it for the sake of £9!
This is the only wax that helped to restore the red colour on a 1961 crestliner boat which had been stored under a deck for 25 years. The fibreglass gel coat had faded to a pink and we tried all different types of boat wax and wax for heavy oxidation and it still came out pink. We have put 2 coats so far with colour magic and there is a very noticeable colour difference. It is not back to the original red, but it is not pink anymore! We can feel the difference when we rub our hand over it and it will repel the water.
Yes it did cover a very thin surface scratch in the paint. Yes I can still see the faint line of the scratch, but to be totally honest, I know where the scratch is so I unknowingly keep looking for it!!The product gives a good shine, its was at an exceptionally low, low price, thank you Halfords.
Suggest this product is renamed as it certainly is not Color Magic.We have used the touch up crayon and the polish twice and it has hardly made any difference to the scratch.Totally over-priced! I would not waste money buying it.
I have a an old 1996 Saab 900 convertible and in the winter it spends most of it time in the garage. I have given it its first polish of the year with this Turtle wax Magic plus with the chip stick . I went over the light scratches with the stick then polished the body . It really has come up nice and looks like a three year old car ! . I found that the best way to get good results from this is to leave the polish on for 15 to 20 minutes . It is harder to polish but it is well worth the effort for a showroom finish
Had many stone chips and light scratches and marks on bodywork. This product has really improved the look no end. The chip stick is hard to buff off with hand but worth the effort.The wax also removed marks on my bodywork that according to a local valet centre, had been caused by makeup reacting with the paint.The finish is brilliant.
