I love Twenty One Pilots. I was stoked when this album came out. I recently went to my local Target store to buy the album. When I went to play the album in my CD player, the player constantly tried reading the album and would only play a few songs. I was extremely disappointed in this. I tried it in another music player of mine, and it didn't work there either. The same thing happened. The album ended up only working in one of my music players out of 3 music players which can play OTHER CDs but wouldn't play my Twenty One Pilots CD. I went to exchange the CD at my Target, hoping I just bought a fault CD and tried again. I received the SAME result. I am devastated that the quality of the CD is not up to par. Smart, intelligent, self-awareness expressed through music and lyrics that I feel avoided the anger and bad language present in Eminem recordings. I am not saying that Eminem has it wrong, just that his self reflection generally involves anger. The lyrics are well put together and the music is at times understated so the lyric has more resonance. It is a confident album, with the tinge of self analysis that has led to Blurryface. A great piece of art that says something many teens and adults can enjoy and relate too.

My daughter loves these two artist who make up Twenty One Pilots. After she introduced them to me, I became an instant fan. Their music and songs have meaning and most of all, it isn't just some other pop music about the usual topics in pop music. This album has depth and every person will relate with one song or the other. Some music albums have one good song, this album has many hit songs to appreciate. And if it's your turn to be the concert parent chapparone........YOU WILL BE AMAZED. The Blurry Face concert was the best concert I have ever been to. And I have been to many. It was a blast. Their fan base was awesome. I saw fans as young as 6 years of age to grand-parents of 60 years of age and up. This bands music attracts and speaks to all generations. And what impressed me even more was the genuine excitement in the air with zero rudeness from anyone. Best experience! HOWEVER what AMAZED me most, was the intentional crowd participation that was included in Tyler and Josh's performance. The girls and I were standing in the back, on the lawn....and yet we felt like we were VIP ticket holders. -------> Closing statement.....You are going to enjoy this album and you will admire the artist talent of these two musicians. They are two young professionals whose passion is definitely heard in this album. ~ Enjoy your new album and refreshing experience listening to this one of a kind album of this decade. - Advice: when being introduced to Twenty One Pilots and this album, don't just listen to it once and make your decision to like or approve. The second or third time of listening you'll find & hear hidden treasure of lyrics or music runs. ---> Truly a different album of relevance.

Not to sound like a broken record (no pun intended) but this album, or at the very least my pressing of it skips so much. Fairly Local is the worst offender, I had to get up over 4 times to fix it. This is probably just my player since I do have a suitcase player, but it is still very frustrating when you pay the money for it. I love this album a lot, it has a great sound, and the pressing is beautiful, but it is stressful to not be able to listen to it as normal. All of my other vinyls purchased from Walmart have been fine thus far, this one being the only exception.
This is an awesome album! I received it in the mail yesterday as a preorder through their website. As with previous albums, Twenty One Pilots keep up their seemingly consistent theme of thoughtful/philosophical poetry based lyrics. The sound itself (minus the amazing lyrics) is kind of a mix between Eminem, Beck, Modest Mouse and Coldplay. Plus the singer raps and sings in most songs. The singer also plays the keyboard, piano, ukulele and bass guitar, among other things. The drummer is very talented too! I first watched this band live locally a few years ago at Arkansas State University, where they stole the show as an unknown opener to the great live band Neon Trees. I first watched this band live locally a few years ago at Arkansas State University, where they stole the show as an unknown opener to the great live band Neon Trees. They seem to have a deep religious theme in most of their songs (especially the ones that aren't top singles), as with many of the songs the singer seems to actually be singing to God, but even as an Agnostic I don't mind in the least bit as I sing along, because they do their thing so very well. Their name deserves to be mentioned along side figures like John Lennon and Leo Tolstoy. They're that good on so many levels. A+++
Side A 2 of the 4 songs played good with very minor skip but the other 2 are unplayable because it skips basically half the songSide B song 1 of 3 played perfectly, song 2/3 had a very minor skip and played well, song 3/3 had a number of skips but playableSide C song 1 and 2 played perfectly, song 3/4 had a minor skip, 4/4 had a number of skips but still kinda playableSide D all 3 songs played perfectly
My copy sounds great, other than a bit of noise here and there, but a good clean should fix that. They come with those awful paper sleeves that flake off and little leave paper bits all over the vinyl, but good plastic sleeves that actually protect the records are pretty cheap and easy to come by.I think this is supposed to come with an MP3 download code as well, but mine didn't, as far as I can tell. Be wary if that's important to you, but I already had the album on CD, so I wouldn't have used it anyway.
I bought this album with the mentality that this will be "just like any other album", something to fill my time with, spend my money on etc. but this album is actually incredible!! Every song takes you to another amazing place. It's so emotional and beautiful and at times reveals the painful truth that is real-life. this album is EPIC and MATCHLESS. I also saw the duo LIVE and it was totally worth it because of THIS album :D
