I bought this for my son as have had a ribbed Typhoon bread bin for many years and it is great. But this one isn't. Earlier design is completely seamless and 'bread' is embossed. This one has an obvious bottom and side seam and the label screw heads are inside and uncovered - all crumb and dirt traps, why the newer design is less hygienic than before makes no sense. So looks good but style over function. If it was for me I'd return it, but hey, my son won't care!

Nice item. I was wondering if it was bigger than a bread box, but turns out it is exactly the same size as one. Ha! Joke for the older folks like me. Seriously it's a good product, we like the bamboo cutting board top. Thanks, don't forget to tip your server! Good night!

Aesthetically pleasing. Modern and contemporary however this would not be out of place in other decor styles (in my opinion). The ribbing of the metal adds wonderful textural contrast and visual interest, the bamboo lid is beautiful! I am greatly pleased! Please note an air tight seal is not created by the lid.

I make a lot of homemade bread and storing it is always a conundrum. Plastic is bad for the environment and makes the crust soggy but leaving it on the counter or in a brown bag is unsightly and it dries out. The bread box serves to keep the bread fresher but also keeps the various loafs and pieces in one tidy looking space. The box is well made and looks chic.

Looks great but feels quite fragile. Not sure how long it will last. Also there is a ridge inside where old breadcrumbs collect which doesn't suggest much thought in design. Bit disappointed.... but it does look nice.

This is a beautiful bread box and keeps the bread fresh for a long time. But it has become useable for me because of a weird smell in the glue on the wooden lid that permeates into the bread in the box making it inedible. I have washed the lid over and again, soaked it in lemon juice, baking soda, and vinegar. And even left it outside to air out for a couple of days. But still, that weird plastic smell persists and makes the bread box unusable as designed. I would give this zero stars if possible.

Nice size. Excellent quality. The lid is solid. Would have been better if there was a handle. When you do open it the lid is solid and high quality as well. Can be used as a cutting board. Would have given it a scored edge for crumbs like I’ve seen in other stylesBut overall very happy with it. A beautiful box

Lovely Bread Bin

Lovely bread bin! Already had the tea and coffee pots to match so this is a great addition. Only improvement would be a rubber seal for freshness.

Poor fitting lid

I bought this two weeks ago. I was very pleased with the overall look of the bread bin. The parcel was very cold when I opened it, I tried to put the lid on and it would not fit. I put this down to maybe the wooden lid being cold. After leaving it for a few hours I did manage to get the lid to fit. On reflection I should have returned this bread bin. It has the look, very smart but the lid is useless I now turn it upside down and it sits on top of the bread bin.

Thank you for my lovely bread bin. It looks great in my kitchen, is the perfect size for our loaves and crumpets and does the job of keeping the bread fresh without it getting sweaty. Bin was carefully packed and delivered quite quickly. I was sent one with a small dent at the back , but not one to worry about. Had it been a gift for someone else, I’d have returned it for a perfect one. But it is perfect for my needs Thank you Harts of Stur.
