This 2023 model 16 port PoE switch from unifi is quite disappointing having actually only 8 GbE PoE ports and 8 NonPoE GbE ports, Not being able to supply the 24V that several unifi devices still require, and having a total PoE output of only 42 W across the 8 ports. Given that the generation before this had 16 PoE Ports and could do 24 volts and 48 volts and had a total PoE output of 122 W. this switch is a letdown and I cant recommend it. its the reason that you see so many for sale. The only plus to this switch is that its Fanless and silent.

I am very pleased with this switch. It is simple to setup yet has advanced features for those who want to utilize those. It is also silent because it does not use cooling fans like many other switches. It looks great and has a very useful control panel on the front as well.

Note that B&H now has GEN2 in stock. This was the last piece I needed to complete setup on a large, challenging home setup. When I integrated it into the existing setup (to add POE runs)- the UI software saw it right away and adopted it. It is very quiet- no noise. I highly recommend this, or any Ubiquity product.

Very easy to review. It does nothing. Didn't help me at all and I have ED.
First Switch came damaged from the factory, maybe one of those late Friday builds where the worker just slammed everything together destroying it? B&H sent a replacement and everything works as it should. Hindsight 20/20 I should of went with one of the new pro series with the 10gbe SFP+ ports and Layer 3. This switch was advertised by Ubiquiti to have L3 (in the future) but it appears that will only be the pro series. This switch also only has spf ports and no SPF+ ports, I feel that at this day and age that sfp should be retired. Also the touch interface is neat but I miss the old blue led box, perhaps they could have a blue led box around the touch screen?
This is a high quality switch and integrates seamlessly with my existing Ubiquiti equipment. It is virtually plug and play and using the Unifi controller software is up and running in about 10 minutes.
This switch is connected to my home network, running 100% Ubiquiti equipment. This switch replaced the 8 port 150w switch which I now use for miscellaneous projects. Setup was fast and easy. Each port can be configured for VLANS, APs, or other devices for a custom setup.
Installed in a small crowded space, so was very happy at how small it was. Fanless, so no noise or dust. Touchscreen is very cool and added to the wow factor. Overall very happy with this.
Only had the switch for a couple of weeks, but short term testing has shown it's a solid switch-especially when used within a Unifi network. Using POE to power some Ubiquiti HD & Nano HD access points, so far its been solid. Minimal operating noise, especially compared to the previous generation of this switch
Decent switch, pricey for what it can do, I dislike that they gutted the POE capability of this switch compared to it's first generation. The POE budget is 42 watts that makes no sense at all, 60 watts or slightly more would have made more sense given the per port max limit of 32 watts..I say the same for what they did on the 24 port version. The only consolation is that some WiFi AP's are only consuming about 6 watts so far, under typical SOHO/SMB operation. It detected my POE devices without issue, and was detected by my cloud key device right away, so adoption was as simple as logging in to my existing test network to set it up. The switch is completely silent, it stays cool to the touch in my wiring closet and has done everything i've asked of it so far with ... MoreDecent switch, pricey for what it can do, I dislike that they gutted the POE capability of this switch compared to it's first generation.
