I have been buying just dance for years now. My favourite system to play them on is Xbox for the Kinect. I find the switch controllers are not as accurate. If your just doing it for fun or to work out it’s not a big deal but if your going for high scores as it feels a bit off. For the newest 3 games I have it on the switch. I bought a arm/ wrist holder for the controller as I have a disability so I can’t hold the controller in one hand, love this device. Even my friends who can hold it prefer the device. If u have a switch I think getting the device for this game is a great addition. The other thing I don’t like as much for the 2 new games are the ranking systems. I’m a huge fan of the add kpop to the games the last couple of years! It was a great addition. I mean if there was a kpop only just dance I’d buy that in an instance. Other then the few things that I would like changed or didn’t like, I really like this game and will continue to support the just dance games. Its great with friends and just to get a good work out or just for people who enjoy dancing. I like in the 2022 how some of the new songs got some cool graphics update!

A Money Grab that isn't particularly worth it

I haven't owned a Just Dance game since the original Wii, and I was obsessed with it then. I was excited to buy it and thought it would a great family activity do with my kids. For starters, I'm glad I bought it when it was on super sale, if I had paid full price I would have been upset. You only get 53 songs with the game itself, technically less since some of those songs are just harder versions you unlock once you beat the easy version. Most of those songs aren't popular hits or recognizable. You can't even use the coins earned in game to unlock new songs. If you want access to the full library or recognizable songs you have to pay for a subscription service (24hr, 3month or 12months). But wait until it drops to the below $20 price or is available in a bogo offer, otherwise, don't waste your time or money.

Very disappointed in the Just Dance games from the last 3 years. We bought JD 2019 for the PS4 which we had difficulty playing with our phones as controllers....didnt want to spend $100 for a "joystick." Also, the song list sucked to boot so we never played it. I decided to try this one & bought it for my daughter for Christmas since our kids were getting the Switch. VERY disappointed again!! I will NEVER buy another JD game!!! Songs are terrible, most of them we've never heard of before & are not appropriate for younger kids. There use to be a great mix of new & old songs to choose from that everyone could enjoy & dance to, but not anymore. Dancing fun marred by questionable design

This is my first Just Dance game since the Nintendo Wii. It's hard to believe, but this game is actually worse than the Wii version from nearly 15 years ago.The biggest gripe I have is the controller. Having to use a smartphone is a terrible idea. I'm not crazy about putting my $1,000+ smartphone into duty as a game controller for my kids. Luckily I have an old phone I could dust off for this purpose, but this is still really awkward.I also find the hard-sell of the subscription service to be a bit much. You buy the PS5, you buy this game, it all costs a fair bit. Then you have Ubisoft with its palm out asking for even more money for a subscription service if you want more than the handful of songs that comes with the game itself.I don't know, man. Great game for gatherings/parties, non stop fun

It's as close to a perfect family game as you can get. Non gamers love playing, kids will play until they collapse and even my gamer friends begrudgingly get into it and end up laughing throughout the playtime. Tons of songs to choose from with different styles of dance.I also love that if you run short on controllers you can have guests use their phones as controllers to keep the fun going. There really isn't a downside to the game aside form the need of space so you don't bang into each other.

HARASSED to purchase unlimited product

I seldom review, and this if my first on BB, but this game raised my ire above my desire to review threshold.My primary complaint is about how they put blocker screens to buy their 'unlimited' product, in what should be a regular flow to play. Some of which, the 'default' selected item is to buy it, so you can't even just pass through it without changing the selection. I PAID for this product. This is not some free application I downloaded on my phone and I do not expect to be harassed.Additionally, songs are not great. A couple I like, a few I can bear, many that I do not like.I haven't played that much and every time I consider it, I think about the only ok songs, and then the harassment screens, and I take a pass.

Have to use a smartphone and downloaded app.

Why would they make a game where a parent has to give their smartphone to a little kid? Terrible concept. Why would Sony let some company push their own app? Make them use the Sony camera (That I bought for Christmas , thinking I needed it for this game) Then pay more Extra for songs, Terrible, why charge for the game? What I got is basically a demo. That I would not have purchased knowing what I know now. WORST part / If your PS5 in on cat5 (which it should be) you need to go into settings and switch it to a shared network (the same as the phone) or can't use the game. now give your I13 to a 5 year old to dance around.

Not enough stock songs

This is a super fun title for the kids and family overall. So far it's provided lots of hours of entertainment and also offered some sneaky exercise to the kids. Controls are a bet tough in menus for young kids to navigate by themselves, but in game moves are very forgiving for the kids songs which helps them really enjoy it.BUT...Those who have owned just dance before probably are already aware, but its just so disappointing how you have to subscribe to a monthly membership to unlock all the songs. The stock songs can get pretty old after several uses and so we have subscribed to just dance unlimited twice now in the last 3 years. I wish there were an option where you could pay the 3.99 a month or pay $50 and then own all the songs permanently. Its really ... MoreThis is a super fun title for the kids and family overall. Perfect family fun active game

The game is so much fun. My 6 year old plays this every single day right after school. I play with my backup dancers ( 3 and 2 year olds) having a blast behind me whenever I can. And then I play again at night, for a real workout, after the kids are all in bed. This was a GREAT investment. Currently using the 1 month free trial foe the 500 extra songs and I will definitely get the 1 year subscription after the trial is over. Dont like having to pay extra for anything, but I can understand why it is necessary if they are continuously adding new songs, and in this case it is worth it to me. Healthy fun for the whole family and lots of laughter. I will buy this game every year if they keep coming out and are affordable.
