These shoes are what you'd expect given the previous iterations performance and feel. The padding on the inner heel/ankle helps give a better lock and add stability in the ankles, the base is as solid as before, giving a stable platform for any heavy lifting you'll be doing in the gym. The new laces are standard style laces instead of the strings in the previous series, they don't cut circulation if you want them a little tight, but they may come undone easier if you only tie them single knot. the elastic sock on the ankle of the shoe is tapered down around the ankle giving more movement, but this doesn't cause any instability.Overall these are great shoes if you are into training in the gym with a focus on weightlifting.

I purchased a pair a year ago; I do HIIT in them and I recently ran a 10K with them. Best shoe if you’re looking for light, breathable comfortable performance. You need a few pairs of athletic kicks for varying reasons. You can’t go wrong with these and it takes me along time to find the right shoes. My husband really liked what he was hearing from my experience and wanted a pair. I bought them for his Father’s Day gift. These were a nice investment!

O have the original which I have worn as a casual shoe. Good quality so still in great condition. Bought the Project Rock 3 because I liked the lower profile and it has surpassed all expectations. Very comfortable and snug fit (go up at least a half size because they do fit small). They are light and are quality made. These have quickly become my go to shoes so never quite made it into my bag for the gym. Based on the fit and materials, these would also be great shoes for training in the gym (but I wouldn't recommend for any kind of running; seem best suited for lifting). Highly recommend!

These shoes are with out a doubt the best shoes I've ever purchased. I bought both the black and the white ones in store, and I love them. I use them for working out, running, casual wear, ETC. Not to mention they look and feel very nice, they are a little uncomfortable at the beginning, but after the 3rd wear or so you get used to it (still very comfortable though). My one problem is that the sole tears out very easily. Both of my shoes have tore within 5 months or so. They are still great and I still wear them. I also highly recommend buying 1 size up from what you normally wear (I wear 10's I needed 11's for them to fit comfortably)
I bought these in April hoping the price tag was worth it. From wearing them at work in a dealership service department, to wearing them for workouts 4-6 days a week, they have held up. Not sure what kind of abuse people put on these claiming they tore after short period of time. I've used these for cardio, weight lifting and being exposed to oil and other fluids at work, they are just now starting to show signs of nearing replacement soon. 4 months later. And only a small portion of the sole has started to detach. It is very small and has no affected comfort or utility one bit. Mesh on the upper toe area has not torn or separated. I would buy (and will buy soon) another pair. Excellent job, Under Armoue.
The fit of the shoes even for a wide foot is excellent in this shoe even for a wider foot (just go half a size up). There is plenty of room for your toes to spread in the toebox. The slight heel raise and also the Achilles support is excellent. Very comfortable in this department. If the heel raise was increased to 12 mm I would think this would be better for most people lifting and short distance running/sprints.I do like the stable base that this gives for squats and also deadlifts. Its not bad for running although it is slippery in the wet, so do be careful there.You will be unable to fit any custom orthotics in here as there will not be enough room in the shoe and you are unable to remove any lining.
As a disabled veteran with bad knees and back issues, it's hard to find really comfortable shoes for versatile exercises. When I started walking with these shoes, I immediately started feeling improvement in my arthritic knees. Within a few minutes of walking, I feel comfort and am able to walk regularly even longer distances. They are great comfort in the gym as well, great support and traction everywhere I've been so far!! I got the black because I'm all over the place and they show less dirt. This is my third pair of UA shoes and even more comfortable than the first 2!!

I had PR2's and my biggest complaints were that after time the heel contour wore through and was cutting below my ankle bone and the insoles wore out but were stitched in. The PR3 addressed both of those issues. The insole is now removable in case you wear them out like I tend to do. The heel contour is lower and softer so I don't see that being an issue. Outside of that, all of the great features that I liked about the PR2 are still there and updated. Very comfortable, very light, great workout shoe. It says to order up a size. I am a true 12.5 and got 13's and they are a touch big, but nothing out of line. I recommend ordering your true size not going up. Also shoe laces are very long, but nothing a double knot won't take care of.

First upgrade, a loop in the back to assist with putting the shoe on. I mean, it was cool with the pr2’s but it was a struggle sometimes getting it on. See how much the back and front loops were so flexible and getting this shoe on was a breeze. Yea so, it took Rock and UA three tries to get the shoe laces right. No more double knotting them because of how easy it was for them to come loose. These laces were great. Perfect material used for the friction and it wasn’t going anyway. As i had them on they felt a bit snug.
