These are my 5th pair of Project Rock shoes. I found these in white at the UA outlet on sale and couldn't be happier. I have been wearing them as casual shoes with golf shorts and not only do they look good, they are super comfortable. My office has concrete floors so walking around in these doesn't wear on my knees or back. The sole doesn't slip and they have been easy to clean the few scuffs.

This shoe is extremely supportive and comfortable. It was a little different design with the tongue instead of the sock fit, but I have no complaints on that. I had read reviews about how this was a problem for some people, but I completely disagree. The tongue is padded extremely well and allows for a tighter fit around the ankle. The rest of the shoe is also very supportive and great for short runs, weight lifting, and cross training. I have a couple months of wear in these shoes now and they still look like new.So far I have no complaints and would highly recommend these shoes for training, lifting, or everyday wear.

I wore this shoes 5 times in the last 3 weeks I had it. As a training shoe it does everything I require it to do, good fit and performance. However I unfortunately got caught in a rain shower while wearing these and they got a some splashes of water and dirt on them.Seeing as I got the White / Halo Gray pair, you could notice the dirt easily. Once I got home, I let the shoes dry and then tried cleaning them according to the instructions given on the website. This didn't work and I then used my trusty sneaker cleaner which has never failed me, however this time it could not help me. The dirt marks remained and I felt so disappointed in the quality as the shoes have now lost their aesthetic appeal. I have never struggled with this before on any of my other white ... MoreI wore this shoes 5 times in the last 3 weeks I had it. Great Training Shoes!
22 December 2022

Looking at the reviews, it seem that people miss the concept of what a trainer shoe is for. It is meant to keep your foot stable and comfortable all while still having mobility. This shoe does all of that. I use this for my everyday strength training and HIIT and love it. While the shoe is comfortable, the back 50% where the heel is solid, best for keeping your heel stable for squats & deadlift. The front 50% is flexible and agile for HIIT, burpees, and quick movement. All that is connected with the Tribase technology bringing the shoe together for an overall best trainer shoe for the gym.

Great comfortable shoes but a little heavy
5 November 2022

I bought these coming from another shoe brand from a few years ago. These shoes are quite a bit heavier, but they are good in their own right. The build quality and the materials are impeccable. The styling is good, nothing too flashy, but these shoes can't be worn with just anything. They definitely do have a serious sport look. That's fine if that's what you're looking for. Also, i noticed that the shoe makes me like half an inch taller (maybe a little less, but still noticeable). That felt a little funny at first. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase.

I had that pain half year ago. And now after two days of using that shoes I starting feeling pain again?? So tell me..what I can do now with this shoes. I was paid for that 200 swiss franks. And they make pain and they are not comfortable for the gym...

Heavy and Uncomfortable Shoe
31 December 2022

I have every Project Rock shoe model up to this date and was looking forward to buying the 5s, but I was let down. The look of the shoe is great, it looks like a top quality trainer that you would see in any gym, but the fit and comfort were not there. When trying on the shoe for the first time I noticed how stiff the heel. I am not sure if this is just UA trying out a new HOVR tech on this shoe, but it was uncomfortable and threw off my support. Where as other models such as the 3s were much more supportive and an almost firm/spongey base. I like the direction UA was going with here especially the white color wave on top and the brown base on the bottom, but the shoe didn't deliver great support or comfort and for those reasons I returned the shoe.

PR4 VS PR5 Strategic message to the designers
5 May 2023

BLUF: Bring back the sock liner and reduce the size of the HOVR healI trained with these for a few weeks to really test them and see if the comments on the shoe were correct and I must say they are. For the life of me I just can’t figure out why they went with this design. The HOVR heal is way to large. I figured the heal design was this thick for movement, so I tested them doing a lot of forward running, backward sled, lateral jumps, and they are just not responsive. I'm prior military and it actually feels more like I am wearing a combat boot. They are very awkward just walking in them down the hallway of the gym. When you went away from the sock design to the separate tongue, they created a shoe with less feel and with material that moves. It is true, like other comments, that the material bunches from the base to the side wall, everything moves causing the shoe to be just uncomfortable. For lifting it’s very stable for any type of body part training. I love the PR 4 and have had no issues training with them for years but the PR 5 design is just bad. I love the Rock Brand and I hope the designers can use this criticism to ensure the PR 6 is better than the PR 5 or I just can’t see purchasing them for any type of training in the future.

Underwhelmed
1 November 2022

Im a huge UA fanboy and just reviewed the HOVR's - amazing shoe. This however runs an entire size too small, it's super rigid due to the extra support which stops short of where it should be supporting anyway and the sole is very very hard. I wear these for weights and cardio and walking around, hoped they would stretch but nope. I got these in 13, HOVR's in 13s and these feel like 12 or smaller. Definitely recommend a size up. Basically don't really wear these at all now, sadly. First time UA product has let me down and assuming the Black Adams will be the same so now I'm going to skip those which sucks as they look awesome. Plus side is for most people these feel like they'll last a long time as they're very well made.

Very Disappointed
2 March 2023

I am a frequent consumer of Project Rock gear in general, including the PRs and BSRs. Unfortunately, these are by far my least favorite PRs. Like others have mentioned in the other reviews, they are very stiff, the heel is very bulky, the tongue instead of sock fit is going backwards, and are even more of a tight fit compared to recent PR models. I purchased every color in them and unfortunately, had to return them all. The BSRs are no better. I spend a lot of money on all types of Project Rock gear and hope UA and my guy DJ come up with better models that are at least somewhat consistent to the better PR4 models, which I consider the pinnacle of the PR line.
