I have always been a big fan of Union bindings (and for a good reason - they're amazing!) and after testing these new Forces last season, I knew I had to get them. I was looking for a bit stiffer binding for my freeride board(s), but don't like it too stiff, like the Atlas or Falcor. I had been riding Forces in earlier years already, but the new ones are really amazing!I put them on my all-mountain/powder board and took them out for one of the early season powder days. They reacted amazingly well, the straps feel great (I'm using 42,5 Deeluxe Boots) and the dampening was right what I needed. The bindings give the perfect amount of reaction while still staying flexible, and despite the name, they don't force you to do anything you don't want. The snow was not ... The snow was not sticking on the baseplate, but at the same time my boots had great grip on it.This is a binding that can do it all - from park to powder, from blasting to cruising... I consider it the best all-mountain binding on the market right now.

This binding came highly recommended by everyone in the Denver Evo store. I couldn't be happier. I see IG videos and quality riders using them on the slopes now and it makes sense. Locked, stocked, and ready to rage. I was using some Burton bindings, purchased from Evo, that had a factory defect which was an issue during a 5 day trip in Banff. The Evo team coached me on what to do in terms of Burton fixing my bindings, they just arrived yesterday, great customer service. It had been over a year since i purchased the bindings thus an Evo return was not possible.

These are by and far the best Forces Union has released. I'm super stoke on how damp and cushy they feel under foot, while retaining the classic mid-flex and quick response of previous versions. The under foot feel is really enhanced by the new bushings that help dampening and drive power in rough terrain. I ride these on my stiffer, cambered twin and they work everywhere from jump lines to the trees to carves on groomers. It retains the super adjustable features of previous versions and has an improved ankle strap and highback flex. An added bonus is that the top material doesn't seem to retain any snow/ice regardless of conditions. If you're looking for a do-it-all binding, these are the ticket.

Coming from the 2013 Forum Republics ( This was right when the good binding tech was being introduced... ) The Forums are still a great binding if you could do a blind test, but after a 10 year break, riding half this season, straps were falling apart and I needed something safe. The overall construction and design of the Unions is very minimal and functional; this equates to less parts, less things to go wrong, and LESS WEIGHT. The dampening is perfect for most riding, although you will feel a hard pack side hit landing. The foot-bed needs an underside traction system to keep from slipping, and I wish the high back rotation was a little more "playful" when setting up. The toe strap is a bit of an issue as well when using as a cap strap. Possibly better if used over ... I got these for a mercury or similar board and just using them until I can get the ultras on sale which are a much better option for a Dancehaul.
Full disclosure: I have not ridden these yet but will next week. But setting them up in my garage they feel bombproof and you can feel the quality. I could hardly feel them on my boots when strapped in and the flex felt just right. Adjustability was really easy to extend straps and get it set up. The only drawback is having to unscrew the cover for the baseplate. Seems like an extra step that will take up time when changes are needed on the mountain. Can't wait to get them out on the snow! And the orange color really pops on my black board.

You feel less lead-footed with the lighter bushings, and the stiffness and response are still solid.Cons:In lightening the design, a lot of the stability and dampness of the Force is no longer in play. A lot of vibration and chop is transferred through the bindings straight to the rider when on more aggressive terrain like the Loveland Headwall or in less-than ideal conditions. Overall, feels less responsive than the Strata or Atlas, and a bit more loose in its force translation to the board. However, that looser-but-still solid ride feel could play very nicely with a surfier powder board.Overall, while I didn't love the Forces for my own, more aggressive freeride style, I do believe they will be more widely liked by your average rider. If you're a solid intermediate working your way up from something like a Flite Pro, but not looking for something too stiff, this binding will be a comfortable middle-ground. They also could work quite nicely with a surfier, more playful powder board to really get that loose cruise feeling.
I put these 2024 Union Force bindings on a 2024 Lib Tech Rasman. The bindings are super responsive, do not pinch or hurt (I'm wearing 2024 ThirtyTwo Lashed Double BOA's). The bindings are super adjustable and rather then listen to me just go on YouTube and look up to these bindings since they've been a Union staple for I think 10+ years. Lots & lots of customizable options. These work perfect with my Rasman but they'll be perfect for about any board out there. Now put them in your cart & buy them!
The force is one of the most trusted and popular bindings in snowboarding. And for very good reason. The new updated version dials the fit and comfort up to 11. The new padding underfoot really helps dampen the ride and suck up vibrations and chatter. The straps are super comfortable and the flex is a perfect medium. They are incredibly versatile, comfortable, and durable. If you are looking for a solid bindings that does it all, this is an awesome option.
Overall the bindings are a great choice. They are the only bindings on the market that i found are truly for larger feet. I wear a size 14 and any thing that says its an L/XL usually will say it fits something like 11-15 or 12-15. What they really mean is it only fits up to size 13. A size 15 boot will fit in these. My only complaint is the lever to crank the binding gets a little stuck when i tighten them to there max. You just have to push it back into place sometimes when you do that.
I already have the Union Force's on my aggressive 2024 Lib Tech Rasman so when I bought a 2024 Lib Tech Offramp I wanted something with some more cushioning just for cruising & going off smaller stuff & jibbing. I broke my tibia so sometimes I feel it throbbing & got the Ultra's to relieve some of that shock to my knee area. I almost love the Ultra over the Force because it has a little less adjustability (no adjustable gas pedal, one less bolt to deal with if you're changing heel cup position. Plus it utilizes a mini disc so I can a little more flex on my board rather then the full size disc on my Force's. I love the Ultra's - nobody's going to put these on their board & think "Wow, these aren't any good. I'm swapping them out for something different.". You'll be ...
