While BoL is likely a better starting point for Unmatched I think that this set has by far some of the most fun and unique characters in the Unmatched universe yet. The maps are fun and have some interesting twists and everything is made with that same Restoration games quality. No complaints.

This game is amazingly easy to learn and always non-stop fun. I really didn’t know what I was getting into when I purchased Cobble & Fog, and now I own all of other games in this system! Oops? No regrets. My husband and I play every chance we get and every playthrough is unique with all the crazy fun matchup of characters. I highly recommend all the Unmatched sets, but Cobble & Fog is a great place to start!
Fun theme for horror and mystery fans. Beer and peanuts style strategy play. A little hard to remember all the rules at times.
I bought this based on reviews alone and I was not disappointed! Excellent balance of strategy and luck and just as fun with 4 as with 2 or 3.
Cobble and Fog was my first introduction to the unmatched series, and I absolutely love it. The game is so simple to teach you could do so in under 2 minutes, and gameplay is fun, fast, and makes me want to play again. The characters are well diversified, and one character could beat the other in any given game (making playing with new people very intriguing). Overall, this is a great game and one my girlfriend and I can’t put down.
Having only played a couple of games, I am already sure this game will make it to our table again and again. The thematic card decks for each character do a great job of bringing their fighting styles to life. The miniatures are great! Each piece of the game is well made including the wonderful box insert that has a place for each element of the game with the name of the character beside their item locations.I will be purchasing more Unmatched sets for sure.
I was a huge fan of the original game this was based on, Star Wars: Epic Duels. Despite never actually being in a part of the fandom, the gameplay was what keep me into it; multiple unique characters with different decks and strategies, making numerous match-ups for different fun each time. Unmatched is no exception, and the freedom the game offers by using characters that don't stick to a single franchise make for great cross-overs like this box offers along with greatly varied gameplay with each character. I am excited to collect the rest and expand my collection, but this is a great start as any other box in the series.
