Ohh Unmatched, This standalone expansion was very exciting, because it show little red being a badass, and beowulf like an equal foe, a true warriors clashing. It have some interesting and advanced mechanics, like the basket in little red, and the rage tokens for beowulf. The minis are very good and works well with the board. The insert, now works well with sleeved cards.The art on the cards are just awesome as always on Unmathed. It's a must have for Unmatched and Fairy and Epic Tales fans!

Both, Little Red and Beowulf, are amazing, but do not get as your first box. They take some understanding of the Unmatched system to play well. I highly recommend buying Cobble & Fog first and then this second (you can always buy together - just learn the game with C&B and then branch out to these two). Having those two boxes sets you up for some amazing experiences.

First of all, Unmatched is a great series of games. It's easy to start and fun to play. But in this review I want to make my focus on the characters of Beowulf and Little Red.Beowulf is strong legend of ancient myth and his character in Unmatched is the same. When you play Beowulf, you always feel that you are stronger than anybody else in the game.Little Red is a small but very clever girl. And she has a very strong friend in Huntsman, who adds power to this character. When you play Little Red you have to have a lot of combinations in your had and hand. This is complicated character to play, but it is one of the most interesting things in the process.As a conclusion - this box is a must have box for any fan of Unmatched series!
The entire Unmatched series of games is amazing, and this expansion is no different. The addition of two new heroes is always great! This game is clean, simple enough to pick it up exceptionally quickly and after just one game you realize the fun and variety it entails. Adding expansions with new heroes and play styles just pushes that forward even more-so. This is no exception to that, always highly recommend!
Unmatched was a game I didn't expect to enjoy. I'm am not one for head to head combat. But the movement and card management was very fun and gave enough choices to keep me engaged. Its fast enough that if I could get a win we can set it up again and start over. Very fun will recommend to anyone looking for a quick head to head with a great theme and easy game play.
Some really fab mechanics included in this set from both characters. Little Red's basket makes for some powerful combos and Beowulf's Rage can power up some attacks and make them truly deadly. Both have really fun sculpts, especially Little Red who is reimagined as a hardened woodland warrior. The maps are fantastic and these two are some strong fighters.

You can easily open doors using movement points, but especially for melee fighters, this can really shake up the balance of power. To go with this map we have Beowulf who is an absolute rage machine, gaining rage as he gets damaged and spending it for gamechanging after or during combat abilities. Red Riding Hood is a complex character to play, but get it right and you can be a force. You have to order your cards as your play them into your discard to make sure that the icons match up to trigger during or after combat abilities. Game is a great for quick round gamers or fans of vs games. Each character feel unique which keeps the game fresh. Plus red is very nice model. Great as a booster for owners of other content, would not recommend as you first unmatched buy.
If you’re reading this you probably don’t own this box yet. Well you really should. Unmatched is one of those welcoming games that you can play at any time. And with a wide spectrum of characters available, it’s really nice to dip into some more mythology and fairytale based fighters. Yes, people will complain about having just 1 map but what a map it is. Doors to lock people out of the hall and buy yourself some time to regroup? Genius
