So I have a very long top style. And I find it very hard to get a product that keeps my hair held and doesn’t let it fall as I work in a bar, where it’s hot and sweaty. Little too early to tell if it will make a shift but it’s lasted most of the day today. The smell isn’t over powering and blends well with my deodorants and my aftershaves. The one problem I’ve had with it though is if I follow the directions and put it straight into dry hair, it sets all most immediately and I can’t really style it without punishing my scalp. So I apply it to wet hair. That’s my only gripe. But it is smooth, when you rub it into your hands to apply and not bitty like other products I’ve had, and a little goes a long way. First time I tried it I put the usual amount of product I usually use on my hand and it look like my hair had been laminated.Really good product. Wouldn’t have heard of you guys if it wasn’t for Facebook.

It was great just not my style. It's got next to no shine which I love but it feels heavy. I was happy with the Uppercut Featherweight because it's a much lighter feeling with almost no shine and great hold. The weight in the Matte pomade made my hairstyle fall out of place too.

Great pomade with great hold. I have fine hair so I tried the matte version to make my hair appear fuller. I loved the application and the feel of the product. The scent is a bit to much, it's nice at first but I tire of smelling it through the day. My hair is mostly white and I found that I prefer the wet look of the Deluxe pomade better as it adds the wet look and a little darkness to my hair. Overall great product for fine hair, it really adds texture. However I'm not a fan of the dry look, if you are younger with color still in your hair it would be great.

I really wanted to give this 5* because it works so well and I really liked it.I have a moustache [no beard] and wear it in either the English or Hungarian style. I use the pomade when I don't want to bother to apply a curl to the ends of the moustache and, for this it has great hold which lasts all day and has a pleasant smell.My only gripe is that, because, being of a certain age, I have white hair with a little black... .the Matte Pomade is not clear, it is brown and applies a colour to my moustache that I have nowhere else. Although I have a full head of hair, I wouldn't use it on my head. So, if you are with blonde, white, or platinum hair, you might want to choose a different item.
So this stuff is pretty solid for the way it looks. UC is right to say that it doesn't have shine and holds well, both of which I like in my pomade.But I am not a fan of how it feels, at all. My hair becomes sticky in a way that's much different from other pomades I've tried; it's particularly strange when I get it wet. Restyling or adjusting is difficult because of this. Also, it has a bit of a chocolate smell, which isn't exactly bad but I prefer the scent of some other products I've tried. Almost certainly not going to buy again.
Im a huge fan of zero shine and Uppercut certainly does not have a shine. It also has an amazing hold.I’ve used low shine medium - high hold and it takes so much product to get your style to stay put that you then have hair clumping together and a bit of a shine.With uppercut wait till your hair is dry and a little bit of product goes a very long way and sets fast.I would give 5 stars but it does take quite a bit to rinse the product out. A quick sink rinse out before bed will not remove all the product. But given how good the product is I’ll deal with a little bit of product left in my hair over night.

I just got my "Matt Pomade" in the mail this week and have been using it every day to try and break it in. I give it an easy 8/10 for a pomade. It works in soft and hardens quickly. It has almost a soft cocoanut or coffee smell that my wife loves. I'm Greek and my hair is thick/dense and heavy. Pomades in the past have not worked, but this product does an AMAZING job of keeping its shape all day.If you're looking for that natural look, no grease, and no shine, this is an amazing option.The only downfall I have so far is I like being able to play with my hair and remold if needed throughout the day. My hair is still flexible especially if during the day I need to touch it up or change the look a bit, I just add a bit of water on my hands and style to what I want. It washes out completely when I shower at the end of the day leaving nothing behind. I couldn’t imagine being without this product. I forgot to pack it one time on a trip and I couldn’t find a shop that sold it in the area I was in and had to use a product that was recommended by a barber. It cost more and it flat out sucked! I dealt with it for a week. Couldn’t wait to get home and toss it in the trash. Wow I was a bit sceptical about the price of this product when I first purchased it from my local barber. But it lasts so long with only a small amount need to style your hair it really does justify the price great product 5 stars. I’ve also tried there limited edition Matt pomade this smells amazing too.
