I’ve had these shoes for easily five years and they’ve lost a cover a little bit and that’s understandable. I put them in the washer. I put Clorox on them. I put them through a lot so they’re stained a little bit yellow. overall, the very comfortable and hold their shape and they last a long time. Mine are not ripped neither is their sole messed up, and again I wear these very often. I have multiple different patterns of the slip on fans. They’re not trending right now, but they’re classic pairs of shoes. A real need in your closet rotation.

While this insole is great for a casual skate session, taking heavy impact in Classics may add some wear to your feet. The Vans Skate Classics up the comfort levels with a PopCush energy return footbed that increases impact protection so you can skate longer with more comfort. Yes, but make sure you're getting the right ones. The normal slip ons that Vans sell aren't made for skating but just fashion. However they do have a special line called the “Skate” line of slip ons which include more durable suede uppers, DuraCap rubber on the sides, and the Popcush insole.

I have been wearing checkerboard slip-ons for 20 years and they have always treated me extremely well. They are comfy, go with every type of outfit (imho), easy to put on and timelessly stylish. I treat them as a consumable item that lasts about 2 years if you wear them daily. I like to keep 2 pairs. 1 pair of year old beaters for skating, rainy days, etc, and a fresh pair. I don't ever clean them or really take care of my shoes, half the fun is watching them build character over time I think. They are cold in the winter, not waterproof at all but still the perfect shoe in every way.

Love love love these! Same checkered design and fit as when I was a teen. I listened to the reviews and ended up buying half a size down thinking they were running large, but don't do it! Order your true size, these run narrow and tight on your foot. I think there's another re-issue version that might run bigger but these classic ones do not. I need to exchange these for my true size now to give me more room! For the price, it's still worth the effort to get the right fit.
I bought the checkerboard marshmallow on sale, and they are perfect. I did not read the reviews, which I’m glad because apparently, ppl are sizing down. But I found these ran TTS for me. I’m a true size 5 womens or kids size 3, and very rarely have to size up in any shoe besides in mules sometimes. My foot width is normal to narrow I’d say. These fit great and are comfortable right out the box for me. I don’t own any Vans. But when I saw this neutral color way, I had to get it. So cute and goes with everything. Highly recommend!
Perfect fit, rockin' look, super comfy I have a lot of Van's from an ever-growing collection of footwear, socks, sweats, tees, hoodies, scarves and the fit is perfect and the quality too. And I love the style. I'm shocked when I see a complaint about the fit. I have a back injury and have constant pins and needles in my feet, I can't drive and I was falling constantly and the only thing that is giving me comfort is my Van's. I can't feel if a slipper falls off, it's awful but I can get around wearing my Van's because they fit so good. Since I'm stuck in my house because of this I wear my new one's that I haven't been outside in yet so I can get around and I'm on my feet all the time and I have no rubbing etc. that some complain of. These are a miracle right now. If ... I've always loved Van's and I recommend ignoring the hate reviews and form your own opinion because every pair I own are perfect. If you're unsure about size I recommend going to a store. For me they are true to size. Thx Van's, keep doing what ya do✌️🤘
These are my favorite go-to shoes to buy & wear, since my work allows me to wear them daily. However, I was very sad after my last purchase of them. This unfortunately all happened during an extremely busy time at work, so I really did not have the time then to try to get my pair replaced. Usually, these shoes hold up through my daily wear for a decent period of time. I do not know if some part of the manufacturing process changed this last year, but the rubber siding of my last pair ordered immediately separated from the shoe. This happened literally in the first few days of wearing them, with absolutely no extra stress put on them. I figured I would simply super glue it shut, but that failed. I am ordering another pair now to give them one more shot, so hopefully ... MoreThese are my favorite go-to shoes to buy & wear, since my work allows me to wear them daily. I am ordering another pair now to give them one more shot, so hopefully these ones will be of the quality that I am used to with the shoes I've ordered from Vans in the past. Oh one more note, but this is regarding all vans shoes I've ever ordered....I do not understand why, but the inside heel part of the insole gets worn down extremely fast. That is not my big concern though. I will be sure to go through the contacting customer service process this time if I have the same issue regarding the shoe falling apart so quickly. Again, USUALLY these shoes are awesome, so I am still giving 4 stars for now, at least until I see if my next pair hold up to the usual quality of the not great quality of my last pair of these.
