I purchased these shoes when I hurt my ankle and nothing fit me because my ankle and foot were swollen. These were the only shoes that fit comfortably and had some stretch to them. They don’t last as long as they used to when we were kids but what does? For the price they’re worth it and their casual easy to wear shoes, and quite comfortable!

Bought these for my husband as a Valentine's Day gift last year. When he's not working, these are his everyday shoes. He has flatter feet, and he confirms that these are really comfortable for him. The only thing is that these were rough on the back of his feet when he was trying to break them it. After that period, he loved them!

These are great shoes to wear in the summer with shorts! They are not only stylish, but comfortable and stylish. They are not as sturdy as your typical sneaker that laces up, but they can still be used for walking outside on pavement or grass. They get a lot of compliments! Because of the simplistic design, they will be in style for years! If they came in women’s sizes, I would buy them in every color!

Best that I cold find

I was looking for a casual pair of light-duty sneakers that were conservatively styled. These were the best that I could find. I'd like them better if the elastic was not stark white, the sticking was the color of the shoe, and the sobbing around the top was not white. They fit well.

Great vans slip ons and provides some nice height

Love these vans slip ons. So comfy and easy to wear. I have a size 5 and quite narrow feet. These were a little loose on me and not as comfortable of a fit. I had to use insoles so they were more snug of a fit. After adding insoles they are perfect. Just an fyi to anyone with narrow sized feet that fit ‘in between’ sizes.

There's a trick to breaking them in...

I have multiple pairs of vans slip ons and I notice tons of negative reviews about how narrow they are and trouble folks have with breaking the in which compelled me to write this review. I have very wide feet and would have the same issue BUT...I don't because there is a 30 second solution to this: 30 seconds in the microwave. Yes, the microwave. A Vans store employee let me in on this little 'secret': Put them in the microwave alone, untreated, for 30 seconds - take them out, put them on your SOCKED feet right away and wear them for a couple hours. They mold to your feet perfectly - both the insole and the width. Given this trick of quickly breaking them in....Literally the only negative I have ever found with them is you need to do some work to protect them from the elements (even the black-on-black), which is a given...they are pure canvas after all. A good treatment or three with any spray shoe protectant that's safe for the fabric does the trick for the canvas. The outsole can easily be wiped clean with a damp rag (or a damp magic eraser which is much quicker/produces better results). I'll always be a regular wearer and huge fan of the slip on - they're comfortable, go with any outfit, and haven't let me down yet.

Vans are great aren't they? Now in slip on!

I'm a 44.5 but I went a half size smaller with the slip on and boy was I not disappointed. That half size is you tying your laces. The only thing I'd say to vans is make match the elastic colour a little, ice white with a grey black shoe not grea, however not a deal breaker. Lovely shoe, very comfortable.
