As they are low profile, I throw them in my pack whenever I head to a new city or on a new adventure. As mentioned before, the upper is suede, so it can be a little warm in the height of summer. Also, the flat sole is great for every day but isn’t going to help with ice and snow. Honestly, though, it would be unrealistic to expect that these sneakers are ideal winter shoes. The Vans Old Skool is a brilliant everyday sneaker. I’d recommend it to anyone who is looking for a low-profile versatile sneaker for every day. It is easy to match with outfits and comfortable. When buying this shoe go true to size. I always have an iteration of the Old Skool in my sneaker collection, as it is a timeless classic.

Yea they look beautiful but a hole developed out of no where on the top front suede bit, above the joint of the smallest and small toes. I've had the shoes 6 weeks! The shoes were worn a total of 4 times (due to the grim U.K. weather, they were being mostly saved for dryer weather!) uses were - drive to and walk around some shops, get on a plane. Somehow this hole has developed with NO strain whatsoever on the shoes with light use. This is terrible for the price and I'm now looking for claiming against the warranty as it's gone past the 30 day period.

This is my second pair of these particular vans (have 3 other pairs…). They’re a great shoe and go with everything. Can be dressed up (as much as a trainer can) and down. They’re a very flat shoe so if you’re looking for more arch support they’re not suitable. I’ve included a picture and they’re 100% worth the money. Wore my old ones until they were falling apart!
