This is my first pair of VANS boots. I personally prefer classic lacing system. It is also crucial for me that the boot is not too hard, as I ride a rather loose style, mostly park and jibbing. I was in between 42,5 and 43 EU size and went for 43 in the end. The fit is really perfect!I rode the boots under any conditions. I expected them to be too soft, however they are just perfect in between soft and stiff. The instep lace lockout (lacing of the inner boot) gives a really good hold yet being super comfy. The flex is just perfect and let's you enough room for jibbing. I wouldn't really recommend the boot to any rider looking for a harder, stiffer flex. The damping is super nice even on harder landings. I also really liked the traction of the sole. This boot is the ... MoreThis is my first pair of VANS boots. I've been riding these shoes for a month (+-10 days on the hill) and I like them so far. They run 1/2 size smaller then any other Vans shoes - I usually wear 9.5, but tried OGs in 9.5 and they felt too small. Ordered size 10 and it's perfect, especially after heat molding. There were some parts that took some time to fit - like the boot tongue that pushed on the foot top a bit too hard, but it got better after 2-3 days. Now they feel great - heat molding helped to shape them properly. I find a bit of heel lift in them, but not critical. Also if you have wide feet - make sure to try them out before. Mine are not too wide, but not narrow either and I have to loosen the laces on the tor part for the first hour of riding to avoid arch pain. But overall I can rate them ... But overall I can rate them 4.5/5 - they are light, very cushy, adjustable and the insoles are just awesome. Just enough flex for both all mountain guys and jibbers.

The last true good deal. I think these are the only boots I've had that are the same size as my street shoes, and I wear vans shoes pretty much all the time. The soles of these so soft you can feel the contours of the ground with your feet. Love it. If you like soft boots, these are the go-to... They last me 100+ days and I can drive my truck in them A+

I got to try this boot out for the first time and I cannot say enough about how comfortable my feet were after a full day at the park. They are laced, not the BOAs but if you just tie them like hockey skates (should be plenty of YouTube videos), then they should stay tight all day long. For Sizing: I normally wear a 10.5 and these were true to size. However, the vans boots are bulkier than any other boot I’ve tried which affects binding and board size. Both my bindings and board said they were rated for up to size 11, but I ended up needing to get a larger binding and a wider board because of how much my boots were hanging over the edge.

Last season I bought some DC Snowboard boots and I used em about 70 days on the resort and about 10 in the Backcountry. They started falling apart halfway thru the season. They were also hella bulky. These Vans look sturdier and are way less bulky. Took em on one backcountry trip so far and held up nice. I rock an 11 in running shoes and summer booties. I had to get these bad mama jamas in a 12.
Love these now that I went up a whole size! I normally wear size 8, which I originally ordered. My toes were squished and I could hardly get them off! I returned them (which is not free btw!) and got a size 9 instead. They are my favorite boots now! Avoid paying shipping twice and just go up a darn size is my advice.
If you like soft boots, these are the go to. There's no feeling better than riding around at 50mph and steering with your ankles. My boots are the same size as my vans street shoes, which is convenient. That rarely happens with other boot brands. Will be buying these for years and years to come
I was looking for a laced snowboard boot, mainly because of its simplicity and reliability - no more sophisticated speed-lacing systems that have failed me twice before. The simple and beautiful design of the Vans boot caught my attention, and after trying size 46 (I have sneaker size 45), they seemed to fit my feet very nicely.I took these boots for a week of snowboarding in the Alps, and I fell in love with them. Although the Vans High Standards are officially recommended for the riding style "Freestyle", I've used them in various conditions: carving, freestyle and off-piste freeriding. The boots are very flexible, which means they won't offer a ton of support while carving at high speeds. However, in my opinion they gave me just enough support, because I have a ... However, in my opinion they gave me just enough support, because I have a casual & relaxed riding style. They are very forgiving; I've had zero instances of cramps or annoying pressure points. In conclusion, these are very comfortable boots for a reasonable price. I would especially recommend these for beginner and intermediate riders who just want a reliable pair of boots to ride down the mountains comfortably. And, last but not least: they look very cool :)
I have been wearing Vans skate shoes for 30 years. I love vans, but these boots are too uncomfortable to use. Serious pain on ankle bone, especially rear foot inside. Try them on first, and if they work for you, go for it.
