These are gorgeous trainers and an absolute bargin. They are leather with suede and the most amazing quality. I managed to get them in the sale for £45! I already want to buy them again in different styles. They are flattering, and I love the pop of colour. They're also so comfy and pair with most outfits!

I chose these as a low-profile sneaker, which is easy to pair with loads of different outfits for my collection. I’ve worn my Old Skools everywhere, around town, on holiday to Spain and Portugal on city breaks and out in the evenings. They work everywhere! I have relatively large and wider feet and the shoes fit me perfectly, with the laces adjusted. As the sneaker was originally designed as a skate shoe, the sole is durable, particularly over concrete. As they are low profile, I throw them in my pack whenever I head to a new city or on a new adventure. I love that because of the simple design they match with everything, shorts in hotter climates or cropped chinos when I head out in the evening. As mentioned before, the upper is suede, so it can be a little warm in the height of summer. Also, the flat sole is great for every day but isn’t going to help with ice and snow. Honestly, though, it would be unrealistic to expect that these sneakers are ideal winter shoes. The Vans Old Skool is a brilliant everyday sneaker. I’d recommend it to anyone who is looking for a low-profile versatile sneaker for every day. It is easy to match with outfits and comfortable. When buying this shoe go true to size. I always have an iteration of the Old Skool in my sneaker collection, as it is a timeless classic.

I’ve always been told Vans are comfy trainers to wear, so I thought it would be worth the £70 I spent on them… it was not. I wore them for a short walk around my local area, I was out for 15 minutes and my heels were shredded. I’ve never had such a quick blister formation in trainers. For shoes that are so expensive, they should not be causing blisters. I laced them properly, had them on right, had decent socks on, I don’t walk funny. They’re almost unbearable to wear. I can’t even drive in them. Such a waste of money, and I can’t send them back because they got a bit of mud on them when I went out. I’m so disappointed. You’d be better off buying literally any other brand.

I absolutely loved these shoes until this year and am so disappointed that they are being discontinued. I had my previous pairs for 2years plus each but when I bought my new pair in November 23, it lasted less than a month. All the sides had come completely apart and looked worse than the shoes I had for 2tears. This happened again after I took them back and when I returned to swap them, I found they are being discontinued. These shoes were by far my day to day staple and now I am so annoyed and disappointed that instead of fixing the manufacturing issue, they are discontinuing all together.
This is truly a wide shoe. I've always loved the simplicity and timeless style of vans but they never really fit me like I would want them to. They've always been to narrow for my foot even after breaking them in after some time I really disliked how much my shoes leaned to the side because my foot was too wide for the shoe. No one truly understands that frustration unless you've dealt with shoes that look normal on other people but don't on your own feet. For years I've searched a wide fitting shoe from Vans and finally they're here. In other brand shoes I usually go for 2E - 4E this almost feels like a 4E shoe. There's so much space and width I find them very comfortable. I hope Vans continues to offer Wide in all their styles and color ways.
I am excited to have new options for my uniquely shaped feet. These old-stool kicks are comfortable and light. They would be my new go-to, except that I do't have the funds to spend on shoes that won't last. I am surprised that after only 1.5 months of wear, that the glue is coming apart for apparently no reason. Now they are strictly INDOOR shoes.
I'm a senior citizen and beginner weight lifter. I need balance deadlifting. I read about Vans on power lifting websites. I bought some for the gym. First I removed the glued down insoles, not too hard to do. Put in my prescription, custom orthotics. These Vans have flat bottoms and they stick to the floor. Perfectly level and stable. So glad Vans makes a wide shoe. I tested these out during deadlifts and I am very satisfied with them. For my purposes these shoes are outstanding. They have 9 eyelets and wide cotton laces so I can tighten them exactly the way I want. This is my first pair of Vans.POSITIVES:Excellent weight lifting shoes especially dead lifts and leg presses. They grip the floor. They look good.9 pair of eyelets.Reasonably priced.
I saw these on line and when I was in the Nordstrom at the Irvine Spectrum I had to try them on. I bought the Lilac and White ones. These sneakers are so comfortable and stylish, I’ve worn mine so much and have gotten many compliments especially on the lilac color. I bought my normal 7.5 and they fit perfectly. I love the platform style it just adds so much to the sneaker. I want to get the black ones next. The lilac is so nice with the suede, will be nice with shorts, jeans, maxi dress etc. I recommend these sneakers.
After almost twenty five years of suffering from wide feet, VANS has finally heard the cries from my many sad shoe experiences outside of their stores and introduced these lovely shoes. Not only are they comfortable and affordable, but they're also making my inner teenage angst go off the charts. Pair that with my new smartphone and the wireless earbuds I've got, and I'm ready to ride the bus...to work. Thank you, VANS!
As you can see on the website, sporting life labels these as a women's shoe. I ordered my regular size a women's size 8.5 and when they arrived, I had been sent a men's size 8.5 which is a women's size 10. When I contacted customer service they insisted that this is a unisex shoe and that I should have known that and ordered the appropriate men's size. I took pictures of their website and explained to them that they clearly are labelling it as a women's shoe and therefore anyone would order their women's size when ordering. Not only did they fight me on the ability to return this through the mail, they continued to tell me that it was my error and that it is clearly a unisex shoe. As you can see, they have not yet fixed the website and it still is being sold as a women's shoe so I can only imagine how many people are getting the wrong size and being blamed for it. Also, they do not refund the $10 shipping charge even though they made the mistake in the first place so essentially I paid sporting life $10 for shipping on their own error and received horrible customer service. Definitely won't be shopping here again but these Vans are super cute in the appropriate size so I'll be purchasing them directly from Vans or another Canadian retailer that I trust.
