This are some of the best shoes ever, they look nice and are very comfortable. Not only do they look nice but they give you two sets of laces so you can change it up. They fit perfectly not to tight or lose. They got really good grip when skateboarding and also work well as an everyday shoe. Very comfortable when walking around the city. I get these for my son. He's particular about the gum sole and the black "striping", which is hard to find. The pro insoles are supportive and cushiony and are significantly better than the regular Van insoles. The gum bumper around the toe started to peel off on our first pair after a few weeks of wear but was fixable using shoe gu, and sadly, you cannot buy replacement Ultracush insoles when your dog chews them.

I've had this pair for nearly two years now and they have been worn religiously for everything from general wear out and about to wearing at work as well as in the gym.They've held up phenomenally and haven't peeled back like previous reviews I have seen which is why I felt compelled to have my say!Comfiest shoes I've had which is why I bought another 3 pairs in other colours haha. I bought these vans as a Christmas gift for my boyfriends brother and he wears them all the time. Such a good price for fly sneakers. Also customer service is always excellent at Tillys when Iām try to find something to buy for someone. On another note my boyfriend wants some of these vans too. Bought these for work (in retail) as they looked great and had the comfort/durability I was looking for. Really disappointed when they started splitting and the rubber side started coming away from the fabric after a couple of months. I have several other pairs of Vans and these are the only ones that have become unbearable within a year. Eventually I gave up with them and ordered some grey/gum coloured ones to replace them in April, and they have started to do exactly the same! Really disappointed as I love the look but shouldnt have to replace them every 6-12 months after just wearing them for day-to-day use.
The sneakers looked great. I always use to have a couple of Vans and with all the pairs that I hve had before I had a great experience. The problem with those "Vans Old Skool Pro Black White Gum Shoes" is that after 2-3 weeks of a non-daily use, there is part of the gum at the sole is peeling off (as you can see on the image). It is probably a manufacturing defect, that I've never encountered, and it turns these shoes a little less comfortable. It is the first time that I try the "Pro" model of the Old Skools, and probably the last (higher price for a lower quality).
I love these shoes. My problem comes with the pic. If you know Vans then you know that Ultra Cush insoles are super comfy. I bought these for the insoles also but they just come with regular ones. Kinda a bummer. I love the gum sole old skool look though. Oh yeah and suuuuuuper fast shipping. I got them next day!
Pretty solid shoe. Good value if you buy it on sale for ~$45. Wouldn't recommend it for those with wider feet, as the toe box will feel pretty cramped.
Sneaker appeared to be constructed well. However the sole has too much cushion and upper is really narrow causing the sneaker to fit really tight. I feel that it would have be a good sneaker for a boy with extremely flat and skinny feet - probably not for the average teenager! Had to return - big disappointment.
