Just bought my son a second pair of these as he outgrew the first. Usually my 7 year old wears shoes out before he outgrows them but not with these! Uses them everyday and for anything (from school to downhill mountain biking).

My son loves his little Vans . Although he’s no so little anymore! He’s been wearing his Old Skool Vans since he was a toddler, whenever we enter the shoe shop he makes a b-line straight to these shoes.

Nice looking and comfortable but we bought a size bigger (as per other reviews) and glad we did as they do come up a tad small. Also a little bit difficult to put on unless you undo the straps completely as there is not much give. Other than that though they’re really nice

Our son is at the the transition point of toddler shoes and kids sizing. We had to order a few to find the exact fit but what we like was the half sizing in the shoe allowed to find a fit that was just right. He also finds them comfortable.
My son has worn these shoes all summer for camp and mountain bike camp and he loves them. They are a perfect fit, stylish, easy to put on, very comfortable and stand the test of time. Great for my active 6 year-old.
This pair of shoes ran a whole shoe size too small! My grandson wears a 12 right now so I ordered a 12.5. He couldn't even get his foot into them. Just so others can beware, order these in a whole size larger than you think you need. Sadly, they had to be returned.
He wore them til he grew out of them, didn’t need help putting them on, not once. And they still look great even though he put them through a lot (6 year old boy bike scooter climb crawl run fall etc…)
Great sturdy shoe for an extremely active boy. He had a pair of ASICS that wore out within a month but these just keep going! Great fit great sizing
Vans are such a staple in kids shoe wear. They are comfortable, versatile and look great with just about any outfit. I love the slip on and velcro versions for my kids when they're younger. They can put them on themselves and in a timely manner! I have 5 year old twins, one is bigger than the other and maybe a half size or so difference in shoe size and because of the velcro, both can easily wear these.
I absolutely love that Vans is offering Velcro kicks for big kids and adults {not just toddlers}. My nephews are always on the go, and laces trip them up {literally and figuratively}, so I immediately purchased these. The Velcro closure expedites the get ready process, and gives my nephews a sense of accomplishment at being able to get their shoes on and off by themselves; while the offered colors literally go with everything in their wardrobe. I did find that these run maybe a half size smaller than their other sneakers; however, I purchased multiple sizes for that very reason, so it wasn't a problem. I will definitely continue to purchase this style as they continue to grow!
