So I was told vans discontinued the comfycush line and it was all popcush and some other type of Cush. I was told way more supportive and durable. I wish comfycush would come back. I think they were way more comfortable for just casual wear than the popcush is in my opinion. These are still comfortable but just not as much as the Comfycush was.

These shoes are just too hard to put on. I feel like I have a wide foot when I really don't. The way the tongue is made on these shoes is what's so frustrating. I know I see people talking about having to let them settle in their feet but I don't even know that I can do that because of how tight they feel on my feet. I will be returning and getting something else. As of right now, I've had to tie the shoe laces only half way, so they don't hurt my feet.

Uncomfortable, cheap, and difficult to put on. I bought these since the Sk8-Hi Pro's are discontinued. After wearing this shoe for about 6 months my experience with this updated version is awful. It takes too much effort to put shoes on & take off. The elastic that holds the tongue in the center makes it difficult. Like, I have to strain with mild force to put these on, I never had to do that with the Sk8-Hi Pro's.. Comfort practically gone. Feet hurt after wearing for 2 hours. I've been wearing Vans for over 10+ years, might not ever buy vans again.

The shoe color is an amazing deep gray. I love everything about the design and the finish on parts of the leather portions. The shoe is extremely "sticky" and it's extremely difficult to slide on. Actually they're no sliding in at all. You have to completely loosen the laces far down and pull to get your foot in. Once the shoe is on, the fit is great. It feels like a good true 11.5 fit for me.One problem I am hoping will go away and I've never experienced with another Vans product , or other shoe for that matter is this: part of the tongue or upper portion pushes on my upper ankle area only the right shoe and it cuts off blood from veins. It's very painful immediately. I tried adjusting the tightness and even made it extremely loose but the problem persists.
I have a slightly wide foot and these are 1) a little tough to get on and 2) currently very uncomfortable if worn for a long period of time or if you're on you're feet a lot / walking a long ways. They definitely require breaking in, and I'm still working on breaking them in after owning and wearing them a couple of days a week at home for ~ a month and a half. This is the first pair of high-tops I've owned, and one of the first pair of Vans I've owned in ~20 years, but I've read that some effort in breaking them in is normal.I wore them for 12 hours+ one day and walked in them a lot, including a 1.5+ mile walk home at the end of the day. Despite my feet being in a bit of pain (really snug for me at the toe joints on the outside and inside of the shoe, especially ... Despite my feet being in a bit of pain (really snug for me at the toe joints on the outside and inside of the shoe, especially after wearing them all day and walking in them), I have had zero blisters from wearing these shoes. It's worth noting that the shoe laces that come with these shoes are not long enough to lace all the way up (see pictures), but lacing them up to the second to last set of eyelets keeps them snug and fitting well. One feature that I like about these is the elastic bands which help keep the tongue in place. Between those bands and the lacing loops on the top of the tongue, there are zero issues with the tongue sliding to either side.I've gotten a number of compliments while wearing these shoes - 100% stylish. I especially like wearing them with an olive green polo and jeans.
SKATE SK8-Hi is now my absolute favorite! I had purchased and returned another shoe that I thought was going to be perfect and it was not roomy enough in the toe area and I realized it was not the same style as the previous favorite, so now I know I need to make sure it is the "Skate Sk8". Here's what I love about it, it is roomy in the toe area, super cushy, it feels like a dream on my feet and offers more support. If you have to walk around all day, this is going to feel like you are walking on clouds. I can't find anything bad to say about it. I have 3 pairs now of this style and the first one was turned into roller skates.
Important Insole Information!I bought these shoes and noticed immediately that they felt way bigger (half size) than my previous vans shoes of the same size. I have worn multiple different vans shoes and normally go through a pair of halfcabs every couple months. These shoes are advertised as have the "POPcush" insoles, and while its not a lie as it appears to be made of the same purple material as all the other insoles. They are noticable thinner and have a different design than the "POPcush" insole that come in the Skate Vans Halfcabs.I took a pair of insole out of my old halfcabs and the shoes fit much better and feel much more cushioned.just be aware when purchasing if you normally wear halfcabs and are expecting the thicker insole. I have nothing to say other than complete disappointment. His shoes are wonderful to look at and that is it. It appears the whole Van's line has been overhauled with cheap foot beds and any semblance of craftsmanship and comfort has been destroyed. The shoes are no longer functional. There hasn't been a good pair of shoes since the Kyle walkers, which might have been the most amazing shoes ever made. I'm so sorry to write this review as Vans is an icon. I pray someone top down pays attention. You're about to lose your base.
I have been wearing Sk8-Hi Pros for decades now and was bummed when they were discontinued. I finally bit the bullet and decided to give these a shot. These are by a wide margin the most uncomfortable things I have ever put on my feet. The seam where the tongue and vamp meet dig mercilessly into the bones of my feet, The suede is cheap, and the only thing the tongue strap is good for is screwing up your socks making them even more uncomfortable. To say I was gutted would be an understatement. These are the first pair of Van's I've ever returned and most likely the last pair I'll ever purchase.
I purchased this pair in the same size I had been getting the classic Sk8-His and the old Pros in for years. After around twenty minutes of walking on nothing more than flat ground these became extremely uncomfortable to even walk in. I had to take out the PopCush insoles they came with just to walk back to my car due to the level of discomfort. If was still able to I would be returning these immediately and not recommending them to other Vans shoppers. Very disappointing given the previous consistency regarding sizing and quality Vans has had in the past.At best I would give them a few stars due to the style and colors still looking nice.
