THE bar is set with these. Always super comfy with good support. Really appreciate the integrated tongue as compared to the older skate model I replaced.

Very nice shoes, really comfortable. Only thing is it takes about 10 minutes to get them on my feet. Only have this issue with vans and the laces are so hard to loosen to make the shoe wider

Had them two months and the white rubber peeled away from the sole. I would say tick to original old skools never had any problems with them. In fairness I told vans sent them some pics and they refunded me pretty much straight away can't fault there customer services. Still love Vans and used my refund to buy an original pair of old skools. Will stick to what I know in future

Great shoes, but the size 8 was tight on the with. On the shoe box the size was quoted as 8 M, presumably for medium, but i couldn't find an 8 Wide. The build quality was very good and the materials were good quality. So I returned them and ordered a 9 in the Old Skool style.
Had to buy a new pair because my last ones were cut off by paramedics when I broke my ankle. Am I qualified call them a medical product? No. Did more than one doctor say a good pair of shoes probably prevented my injuries from being much worse? Yes they did. Cheers Vans - I'll be a customer for life.
These skate shoes are not as comfy as the old professional range. Less padding around heel. Cheaper feel. Ventilation somehow has been reduced. A real shame.I would pay more just to have the old professional range old skool shoe. New design smacks of cost cutting rather than any advancement in design.
Bought these at a pretty big discount and wanted to see how they hold up against the regular old skool style. Build quality does seem a lot higher, and the materials all feel pretty good. The sole is supported on the inside, the tongue is held in place by more fabric, rubber around the edges is shinier, nothing too exciting but not worse either! My only holdout is the fact that there doesn't seem to be any more reinforcement in the toe area, and my issue with normal old skool style is the fact that I always get a little hole right at the end of the toe section where my big toe hits the rubber edge or something, it happens to every shoe I get (which is about 1 pair every 1.5 years) and I wear them like everyday. I really hope it doesn't happen to these but only time ... MoreBought these at a pretty big discount and wanted to see how they hold up against the regular old skool style. No regrets with purchasing these. The heels were a little stiff for the first couple of wears but easily fixed by wearing them in with thick socks/plasters on the back of your heels for the first few wears. Great to walk in, even better to skate in, good quality, clean look, go with everything. Would recommend!
These shoes feel super nice while wearing them, maybe not as good as the pros but the more you use these the more you will get accustomed to it. The new design is epic and I love the new popcrush over the old ultracrush. the durability of these shoes is sick.
After long use of the "Pro" model, i was forced to buy this because the OG ones is a no go for my feets. If i compare the Pro model with this new one, it is like comparing a workboot with a sneaker. The pro model were softish and this one is way more stiff and not so soft for regular use like walking, doing everyday things. However i wont give up (even though i use my old Pro modell from time to time, also called "the slippers" since they are so soft like a regular sneaker).Build quality seems good as always, so for not sounding that negative. Let's just say we just started the journey, me and the "skate" modell, am sure we'll get along just fine
