Bought for my 14 year old daughter who is new to skateboarding, decent solidity, it's the Vans skate version, not the same as those found in traditional shoe stores, more comfortable sole and reinforced seams.

The smell of the material is weird, and the colour gets washed out very fast :/The fit is nice for skateboarding, but for walking, I didn\'t enjoy these.I would not recommend washing them!buy them if you don\'t like / can\'t afford to buy dunks

I skate flat/curbs/flatbars. My foot is size 9, I weigh 70 kg and I am 180 cm tall. I usually prefer cupsole skateshoes but I ended up with the Vans Sk8-Hi's because of the protection over the ankle. This shoe is true to size, maybe a tad bigger than some of my 27 cm shoes. It is also not a narrow shoe like New Balances or Nikes. This shoe is great for skating, but in my opinion not the best shoe to walk on as I found some marginal heel lift even with so many laces. However these break in fast, the shoe is light for such a durable and even with a "fat" vulcanized outsole. I would prefer the pro version for skating every time. I think for my foot this shoe has not the optimal feel on the heel so I recommend that you try these at a shop if you haven't already. This ... MoreI skate flat/curbs/flatbars. Even with the pop cush insole the feel is awesome. The Hi-top model needs some getting used to but is no dealbreaker for me as that was what I wanted. They have such a good view from above and over all. For this shoe I would have preferred it to have some topping in the heels to prevent heel lift, but that is all I can complain. It has some canvas for breathability in the middle which is nice for the summer. For me, this is a rather basic skate shoe with good durability on because of suede and a thick vulcanized outsole. I recommend these for you if you already like Vans skate shoes and want to go for something extra with the Hi's.

Comfy hi-tops with nice ankle support. It takes a little bit of time break them in but once you do, they're great.#sweepstakes
Andrew Reynolds is one of my favorite pros. This shoe is true to size and comfortable but needs a little break in time. All Vans get hot and have minimal ventilation so don't wear these all day. Cushioned insoles make a huge difference. Grab yourself a pair today.
After sending back a pair of SK8-HI with a manufacturing fault (hole between sole layers), I'd received my reorder SK8-HI with the same (poorly repaired) manufacturing fault.Vans customer service reacted to refund a few euro, instead of solving this by replace the shoes with ones without defects or repairs.
This is my second time buying Sk8-Hi. I bought my first pair in early summer after searching online for a white high top sneaker. I liked the design right away and read other reviews about sizing. Here's what you need to know:Do they fit true to size? Yes. I bought an 11, and normally wear an 11 in other tennis shoes. When you first put them on, they MAY feel slightly tight. Don't worry about it. These shoes will stretch. It's a comfortable, all day fit, and after 3 months, I liked them so much that I bought another pair in black. The black pair arrived timely and fit like a charm. Not a snug fit and true to size. So, listen, don't size up or down, order in the size you normally wear and you won't regret it! I'm a VAN shoe wearer for life.
Awesome shoes! First pair of SK8-highs and sooo comfortable right out of the box! Love the color wave & fit!Love the Collaboration with Andrew Reynolds. Would definitely buy the shoes again.
Have had a chance to wear fora couple of weeks. My profile: beginner, skating after taking forty years off, narrow feet. Fit is great , true to size. I have trouble finding narrowish shoes and these are great. Good ankle support. Good soles, a little stiff at first. Beefy construction. Insole is to die for, very surprised/pleased!! Extra laces a bonus.
Skates like a typical sk8-hi but has the added protection of the pop cush insole. No break-in time whatsoever. The tongue elastic was almost too tight at first, which made it difficult to get my foot in the shoe, but it has loosened a bit over time and does its job keeping the tongue in place. If you like the sk8-hi but wish it had a little more stability and protection, you'll love the Reynolds "skate" version.
