Vans’ newest family member and Thrasher Magazine’s 1998 Skater of the Year, Andrew Reynolds is one of the most influential legends in skateboard history. A household name across the globe, Reynolds is the founder of Baker Skateboards, which has epitomized one of the most recognizable styles in skateboarding. Known as “The Boss,” he continues to foster the next generation of skateboarders, and this season, he’s endorsed the new Skate Classics collection with a few signature colorways of his own. Completely redesigned for modern skateboarding, the all-new Reynolds Skate Sk8-Hi delivers more of what skateboarders need to enable maximum progression. The repositioned DURACAP reinforced underlays and fully redesigned uppers, combined with a new two-part foxing tape that features a deeper knurl pattern on the toe, make the new Reynolds Skate Sk8-Hi durable enough to withstand daily skateboarding abuse. For more board control, the new molded heel counter and internal tongue straps lock in your feet. Even the gum rubber sole that made Vans famous has been elevated with the SICKSTICK rubber compound to deliver more grip and boardfeel. Plus, POPCUSH energy return sockliners provide superior cushioning and impact protection while helping to lessen leg fatigue for longer skate sessions. Internal heel stiffeners have also been added to provide more support and stability. The new Reynolds Skate Sk8-Hi’s updated foxing tape, along with a mix of sturdy suede, denim, and heavy canvas uppers inspired by classic 90s skateboarding, gives you the iconic look you want while bringing all the performance benefits skateboarders demand. The new checkerboard flag on the side guarantees that you’re getting the best in style and modern skateboarding performance, and Andrew also had the idea to flip the tongue label and highlight the underlying message of Skate Classics: Vans-World’s #1 Skateboarding Shoe.

Great winter shoes, no more wet socks and they are also easy to lace up. They have a very high-quality finish and are extremely comfortable to wear.

I skate flat/curbs/flatbars. My foot is size 9, I weigh 70 kg and I am 180 cm tall. I usually prefer cupsole skateshoes but I ended up with the Vans Sk8-Hi's because of the protection over the ankle. This shoe is true to size, maybe a tad bigger than some of my 27 cm shoes. It is also not a narrow shoe like New Balances or Nikes. This shoe is great for skating, but in my opinion not the best shoe to walk on as I found some marginal heel lift even with so many laces. However these break in fast, the shoe is light for such a durable and even with a "fat" vulcanized outsole. I would prefer the pro version for skating every time. I think for my foot this shoe has not the optimal feel on the heel so I recommend that you try these at a shop if you haven't already. This ... MoreI skate flat/curbs/flatbars. Even with the pop cush insole the feel is awesome. The Hi-top model needs some getting used to but is no dealbreaker for me as that was what I wanted. They have such a good view from above and over all. For this shoe I would have preferred it to have some topping in the heels to prevent heel lift, but that is all I can complain. It has some canvas for breathability in the middle which is nice for the summer. For me, this is a rather basic skate shoe with good durability on because of suede and a thick vulcanized outsole. I recommend these for you if you already like Vans skate shoes and want to go for something extra with the Hi's.

I'll be honest, if I was still in my prime, I wouldn't skate these shoes. They are stiff, the soles are thick, ankle mobility is compromised, they are heavy, and get hot in the sun. With that said, the reasons I wouldn't skate them in my prime are the reasons I love them now. They are stiff and support my ankles. The added height and extra padding of the upper adds more protection to the ankles. The cushion in the sole keeps my heels from getting bruised. These are great shoes for carving around a bowl on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
This is my second pair of Skate Sk8-Hi shoes. They are a big step up in terms of quality from the standard SK8-HI's. True to size and they hug your feet nice and securely. Would definitely recommend.
Looks great but not the most comfortable shoe unfortunately the side stitching around the toes is really low and tight. Becomes very uncomfortable after a few hours of use.
I am a huge fan and lover of vans have probably close to 25 pairs. But due to VANS using FED EX as their carrier, and multiple issues, I won't order again directly from Vans ever again, not unless they change their delivery carrier. As there are far superior carriers out there that still remember that without the people they deliver for they would have no business.
I,v been wearing Vans for 25 years or more now. I,m an old longboard surfer and skater and have always found Vans hard-wearing, comfy and reliable. The New features add quality to an already outstanding Skateboard Shoe.I will most likely always wear The Sk8 High as they are my favourite Vans design and would definitely recommend them.Well done Vans.
I saw these on sale and was surprised because I thought they looked really nice. Ordered them and they took a little while to come but they did arrive and I'm very pleased with them. The colour wave looks great in person, they feel pretty well-built and hard-wearing. Also as someone with shorter/wider feet, I found that true-to-size worked pretty well for me.
Based on previous Vans purchases, these are more comfortable than expected. People are always asking where I got these shoes. Overall happy with my purchase
