Very good pair for skateboarding, good durability (even better if you put ls shoe go on the ollie, flip and heel areas)the cushioning is very good, I don't feel any pain compared to other pairs, and visually they're a killer.

After I have already driven through some standard Vans, I have invested in these shoes. Super quality, really great workmanship. The shoe is not only comfortable, but holds out properly what. Very clear recommendation!

Generally a good shoe. Boardfeel is good. The hi-tops stabilize the ankle a bit more and if the board hits you don't get a cut straight away. As with all Vans skate shoes, the laces are a little thicker + you get a pair to change. An insole optimized for skating is also included. The standard Vans insole is Popcush, but there are also others such as Ultracush etc. The insole is ok, but can't be compared with Footprint, for example. Otherwise, I find the thickness of the fabric and the sole thinner than, for example, the Blazers from Nike or a pair of Last Resort hi-tops, but thicker than a pair of Chuck Taylors from Converse. They don't last forever, but they don't get holes extremely quickly either.

There isnt much to add to what people have already said about the sk8-hi over the years, but the skate version is significantly more durable and more importantly comfortable. They sit snugly around the foot thanks to the tongue straps and the insoles are leagues better than those of the standard version. If you like high tops this is a no-brainer

Great shoes but a major drawback for mountain biking
22 December 2022

Great shoes - really comfy and great grip for flat pedals. Plus the soles have lasted really well after a year of biking. The only major drawback has been after getting really wet on a ride they smell really bad. And it has taken three months for the smell to go.

I AM IN LOVE with this Shoes one of the most comfortable pair I have! I wear them every day to work, gym and i ride my motorcycle they've got a nice grip and very comfy sole. I just wish we had our own Shop in Jordan! So would've easier access in purchasing.

Pretty Legit good job vans
16 May 2021

I skate and these out of the box were really nice it kinda sucks to put them on (as all high-tops do) but the skate version is so much better than the normal because the soles are thicker but still have the great board feel and better toe caps and there are the toe and other parts of the shoe have suede so they are way more durable when doing tricks and scraping across that griptape. I personally dont skate them tho because i strictly skate slip-ons because i always break laces so these are just for style for me and I absolutely love them. This pair was gifted to me so it probably wont say verified buyer but whatever. Good work vans.

Quality Issues
8 June 2022

I've worn vans for 25+ years. The pro models for as long as they were around. Now that they're gone, these were to be the next best thing. I've been through 4 pairs in the past 6 months and they've all had quality control issues. Vans have never given me blisters till these. All 4 pairs had different issues. My work boots are more comfortable.

The best thing that's ever happened to the sk8-his!
10 March 2021

I've been wearing sk8-his for years. They're all I own and wear and likely ever will. While I've owned many variations of the seemingly always perfect sk8-his these just blow every other design out of the water. While at first glance the changes seem very subtle there is no comparison once on your feet. Don't get rid of these Vans, please, these are the best shoes I have ever had in my life.

if it ain't broke, don't fix it...
8 April 2021

20 years of buying Vans Pro Skate shoes, and these are by far the worst ones I've ever had. They fit smaller, and replacing the leather on the inside with whatever that new material is was a terrible design choice. It literally sticks to my socks and pulls them down into the shoe, making them completely useless for skating or anything else. Plus the checker tag on the side makes them look like some bootlegs from Payless. Please go back to the old design. And bring back the Pro Skate Mid while you're at it.Sincerely,A disappointed customer that's been wearing Vans for over 30 years.
