I bought these shoes for a while ago. There was a glue-like smell going on with them. I put them somewhere that they can get some fresh air. But still that smell consistently continued. I have MANY Vans shoes and i never had this problem before. Unfortunately i started to think they may be fake

Love love love these! Same checkered design and fit as when I was a teen. I listened to the reviews and ended up buying half a size down thinking they were running large, but don't do it! Order your true size, these run narrow and tight on your foot. I think there's another re-issue version that might run bigger but these classic ones do not. I need to exchange these for my true size now to give me more room! For the price, it's still worth the effort to get the right fit.

When I went to the store to purchase these checkered vans for my birthday the lady who worked at nordstom was so helpful she knew exactly what she was doing and was patient as I still hadn't decided if I wanted the checkered ones or the plain white ones. She also helped me find the perfect size. The shoes are also great. Great quality! I have had mine for quite a while now and they are still in great condition. I love them! What was also great is that usually when I get my vans from the vans store I don't get fit properly and they end up stretching out overtime and no longer fit correctly. It has been almost 6 months since I bought these and they still fit perfectly. I regret not catching the employee who helped me name. I have many pairs of Vans and love them. They all fit great! But these pair have a problem. The left shoe is smaller than the right. I'm sure I ended up with a defective left shoe bc the right one feels perfect. But with not expecting this defect, I wore them all day at work, so am unable to return them now.
I love these shoes I have three pairs now1 with lilac and flowers on2 with flowers on2 with different coloured clouds. These shoes are comfortable and better than the sketchers go walk s I used to wear.Vans please keep these different funky colours going cos I love them
I bought the checkerboard marshmallow on sale, and they are perfect. I did not read the reviews, which I’m glad because apparently, ppl are sizing down. But I found these ran TTS for me. I’m a true size 5 womens or kids size 3, and very rarely have to size up in any shoe besides in mules sometimes. My foot width is normal to narrow I’d say. These fit great and are comfortable right out the box for me. I don’t own any Vans. But when I saw this neutral color way, I had to get it. So cute and goes with everything. Highly recommend!

Purchased on here after trying to purchase on the Vans site - which had no sales going on, didn't have much stock/variety and they randomly cancelled my order two days later with no apology or compensation, they just didn't "realize" they were sold out. However, I didn't want to go through sending it back and gold is still kind of a neutral that I'm sure I'll wear. It just looks dark brown from far away and you have to look close or hit the right lighting for the sparkle. Overall I know I'll be happy once I break them in. Would rather purchase from here from now on than Vans.
I've been wearing Vans for 40 years now, and I rarely wear anything else. I've knocked a star off because the sizing has been a bit hit or miss recently, I've been a UK 10 for 30-odd years and usually don't even need to try them on when I buy in-store, but these shoes are particularly tight, I know they will 'give' a bit with use, but breaking them in is quite uncomfortable. This isn't the only instance I've had, a pair of MTE boots purchased a couple of years ago had to be returned and a larger size ordered due to a very narrow toe box. I'll repeat, I rarely wear anything else, but a bit of consistency in sizing would be appreciated.
Ordered three pairs of slip ons at the same time, all three were different size from one another. Had to return two of them as one of them was half a size smaller. just about decided to keep these as they were just big enough. I just don't see how you can make the same shoe with such inconsistent sizing. Since seen loads of reviews online from at least the past two years saying the same thing so surprised Vans haven't addressed this. Love these shoes but lost faith completely in them as such a faff having to return pairs because of this issue.
