Die hard Vans fan here. Knew I had to get these shoes as I spend a lot of time around water and absolutely hate flip flops. Also a bit clumsy so it's nice to have the toe protection. The toe box is more spacious than their typical slip ons - it was weird at first, but it's become a welcomed feature as it allows the toes to breathe very well and dry fast. This arrangement works because the arch area it tighter than the normal slip on, so the shoe grips your foot (just the right amount) and doesn't allow your foot to slide around.Only downside it they're a little on the heavier side, which does make them feel very durable, but I might not take them backpacking as I'd hoped. Not a huge loss though - probably going to get another color in the spring.

I love these shoes! I normally prefer slides/flip flops for summer but I needed a pair of shoes to wear in the creek and for quick walks outside with the dog etc. I tried on crocs and just don't like the way they look at all. I tried a few other brands version of a waterproof/outdoor chill shoe and couldn't find anything that fit my style. I saw these at a skateboarding store and immediately liked the look. They have the traditional vans look and fit like a glove. They are super comfortable, they don't slip at all and I've walked a few miles and even took a short jog with them and I've had no issues which is rare with this type of shoe. I rarely write reviews but felt compelled after seeing only one review and seeing that it was the opposite of the experience I've ... MoreI love these shoes! I wear a 9 in most shoes and got an 8 in these. If you're in between sizes, I'd go down a size.

So these are basically slip-on Crocs. Comfy, BUT - for whatever reason there's only half sizes for women (why?). I'm a true 7.5 in Vans, which was available so that's what I got. They feel really loose on me and I wish I could order a 7 and they would prob be perfect. But when I walk the back of my heel pops out and they don't feel sturdy or safe when walking through a creek or in a lake. They slip and slide around because they don't properly fit.IF they properly fit, I'd say these are pretty good! The traction at the bottom feels decent enough for outdoor activities - I mean, I wouldn't go hike in them. But a day at the lake or river - or beach, they are suitable. Rocks do get inside the footbed because of the drainage holes and you'll find you have to take them ... MoreSo these are basically slip-on Crocs. Wish there were drainage holes through the soles too - maybe that would help. But overall - cool concept just PLEASE broaden your size range. Maybe expand this concept and make slip ons that are actual water-sock material? That may keep the rocks out. And if you do, remember this review that suggested the water socks material and hook a girl up! Lol

Slip-on Sandals fit and and feel like a classic Vans slip-on shoe, I ordered the same size I am in their original shoes and the fit is perfect. Where these sandals come up short is the lack of cushioning in the soul (you feel everything you're stepping on) and in the areas prone to blisters, as these puppies like to rub, primarily on the back of the ankle. Another downside is the design, the hole sin the top let in stones that don't fit through the holes in the bottom (I'm guess were designed to let sand drain out), which means stones get in and have no where to go from there, requiring you to remove the shoes to constantly shake out debris that find its way into the shoe. Having said all that, these sandals are perfect for running errands in town or doing light ... MoreSlip-on Sandals fit and and feel like a classic Vans slip-on shoe, I ordered the same size I am in their original shoes and the fit is perfect. Having said all that, these sandals are perfect for running errands in town or doing light gardening work around the house. I took these sandals camping which I would not recommend due to the issues above, but they are perfect for just wearing around town if you didn't want to wear shoes. Long story short, great town shoe for short trips where a lot of walking (under 1km) isn't necessary, or a light chore shoe, great water shoe. Would not recommend for camping anywhere with sand as they fill up pretty quickly and don't drain well. Overall though, they're tough to not like and I will continue to use them for low impact activities.
Bought these as a slip on beach shoe. I dislike wearing sandals partially for looks as well how easy they fall off. This shoe doubles as a great fitting water shoe. Many of the beaches I frequent are rocky and don't have nice sand on bare feet. These Vans are great for going from my towel straight into the water with no fear of loosing them. They have strategically placed holes so they drain quickly and easily. They run a FULL SIZE TOO BIG. I luckily read other reviews before I purchased and it worked out great. Im a size 9US in all Vans but bought an 8US and they fit perfect. Will definitely buy another pair!
These are great for wet situations, but may not be comfortable enough for day to day wear. I put the insole from an old pair of Vans inside to add more comfort. These were best for me when visiting my parent's lake house in Louisiana. I was helping my dad clean up around their pier and wading in the lake. This was very comfortable in that situation stepping in the muddy lake bottom. I also find them to be great in a pool or water park setting.I also tried these on the beach in Hawaii, and they were not a good fit for that situation. They tend to fill up quickly with sand and become uncomfortably tight.Bottom line: Great for wet situations, such as pools, lakes, rocky bottom streams. Not good for sandy beaches.
I bought the gray ones shortly after they came out. I love them. They are my correct size! (10.5) I think that if you aren't the full size or half size that the shoes come in, you won't be able to enjoy them as much. My shoe size is already hard to shop for except at Vans! They take almost no time to break in at all. They are a good alternative to the you - know - who shoes that these are imitating. I do wish that I can accessorize them like the other shoes but that's OK! My favorite part is being able to just grab a magic eraser to wipe my shoes down quickly and get them clean again. I also have the black ones and might get the marshmallow ones next
Love them, they are so comfortable. They feel like straight rubber which I love. They are super flexible and bendy but not in a cheap way, but in a very sturdy way that snaps right back into shape. They feel WAY better than crocs. They don't have the pointy things that poke your feet like crocs. I even wore them running and I loved them... they did give me friction burn though cause I'm dumb, but either way these are a "use for everything" shoe. I think they are also way more stylish and aesthetically pleasing than crocs. I have two pairs of crocs, I just like to rock the undisputed better one. Only downside is they can't use jibbitz, I tried. Vans has a real market if they make them able to rock jibbitz.
I ordered a size larger than normal after reading some reviews, and because the shoe won't stretch. They fit well - probably a little (too) wide and roomy, but the length is good. I could wear these without socks (obviously this makes sense for beach or rainy days) but they are also good with socks. They don't feel rigid. I was able to wear them on day one to take the dog for a short walk (a little over a mile) and my feet were comfortable - no wearing or sore spots. The dark red color looks good. They slip on easily, even with socks. I'll probably wear them a lot!
I bought these as river/swimming/beach shoes, they are working out so far but I've only had them a few weeks. Pretty rigid footbed, so don't expect to be walking on clouds, it's also kind of thin, like regular vans feel. Fits same at regular vans shoes. Wore them in the river yesterday, they stayed on my foot well (no slipping), and make it so you can walk over rocks and stuff without your feet hurting. I wouldn't want to wear them all day long as a regular shoe, but they work good for this purpose. I tried on the backless version of these, and those felt like they could easily fall off. Much better looking than Crocs, but I call these my Vrocs.
