So these are basically slip-on Crocs. Comfy, BUT - for whatever reason there's only half sizes for women (why?). I'm a true 7.5 in Vans, which was available so that's what I got. They feel really loose on me and I wish I could order a 7 and they would prob be perfect. But when I walk the back of my heel pops out and they don't feel sturdy or safe when walking through a creek or in a lake. They slip and slide around because they don't properly fit.IF they properly fit, I'd say these are pretty good! The traction at the bottom feels decent enough for outdoor activities - I mean, I wouldn't go hike in them. But a day at the lake or river - or beach, they are suitable. Rocks do get inside the footbed because of the drainage holes and you'll find you have to take them ... MoreSo these are basically slip-on Crocs. Wish there were drainage holes through the soles too - maybe that would help. But overall - cool concept just PLEASE broaden your size range. Maybe expand this concept and make slip ons that are actual water-sock material? That may keep the rocks out. And if you do, remember this review that suggested the water socks material and hook a girl up! Lol

Slip-on Sandals fit and and feel like a classic Vans slip-on shoe, I ordered the same size I am in their original shoes and the fit is perfect. Where these sandals come up short is the lack of cushioning in the soul (you feel everything you're stepping on) and in the areas prone to blisters, as these puppies like to rub, primarily on the back of the ankle. Another downside is the design, the hole sin the top let in stones that don't fit through the holes in the bottom (I'm guess were designed to let sand drain out), which means stones get in and have no where to go from there, requiring you to remove the shoes to constantly shake out debris that find its way into the shoe. I took these sandals camping which I would not recommend due to the issues above, but they are perfect for just wearing around town if you didn't want to wear shoes. Long story short, great town shoe for short trips where a lot of walking (under 1km) isn't necessary, or a light chore shoe, great water shoe. Would not recommend for camping anywhere with sand as they fill up pretty quickly and don't drain well. Overall though, they're tough to not like and I will continue to use them for low impact activities.

These are cool shoes, great for water and summer activities. However I did have a few issues with them. 1. The sizing is weird. They don't do half sizes and they run a half size big... so that means they will either be tad too big or too small. I opted for a tad too big. They fit but could fit much better. Really surprised Vans didn't think of this? Seems to be a major complaint of almost all other customers.2. They rub on my ankles and cause blisters. First day I wore them, I got a huge blister on my left ankle. The plastic material they are made out of is pretty stiff and just rubs the wrong way. This could also be due to sizing issue.Overall, I'm a bit disappointed. I expected a little more out of these. Not sure I will really wear them much due to the issues ... MoreThese are cool shoes, great for water and summer activities. However I did have a few issues with them. 1. The sizing is weird. I love the arch support on this slip on. It's very similar to the comfort of crocs but with the vans slip on style. I got them in grape vine green and i get compliments on them. I really like using them for a variety of things. Water activities, day at the park, concerts for all day comfort, and even the gym for squatting. I can rock these with or without socks. The only complaint i have is not related to the shoe itself. These haven't been restocked in a long time. Summer is in full swing and the restocking on this shoe in staple and other colors is way overdue. Please get this addressed.
These are great for wet situations, but may not be comfortable enough for day to day wear. I put the insole from an old pair of Vans inside to add more comfort. These were best for me when visiting my parent's lake house in Louisiana. I was helping my dad clean up around their pier and wading in the lake. This was very comfortable in that situation stepping in the muddy lake bottom. I also find them to be great in a pool or water park setting.I also tried these on the beach in Hawaii, and they were not a good fit for that situation. They tend to fill up quickly with sand and become uncomfortably tight.Bottom line: Great for wet situations, such as pools, lakes, rocky bottom streams. Not good for sandy beaches.
The sole design is a letdown. Pebbles/gravel get caught in the grooves so before walking indoors or on certain surfaces you need to pick it out. In the photos for the black Trk shoes it nearly looked like the heel part of the soles were more solid and therefore less likely to collect stones but this wasn't the case as my black pair have the 'waffle-like' sole design.I like the fact that these have the benefits of crocs yet have a narrower design. I'd have liked a bit more cover around the ankle though. Maybe not such a big need for so many open squares on the front also.I'll be interested to see how long these last. They were bought primarily for rowing. My last pair of salmon watershoes (for this use only) lasted about 6 years before falling apart.I am a UK ... MoreThe sole design is a letdown. I actually like this shoe look for women, men AND kiddos. PROS: great reduced price! Way cheaper than the toddler size I also purchased. Great style for casual, everyday wear. Saw a woman wearing these and I knew I HAD to get them! Found them in store and online, so my grandson and I now own matching pairs in black. CONS: These run warm. I don't like to wear socks with my slips ons (Toms, Bobs) and my feet will get sweaty. This style appears to be in the process of being phased out, sadly. There is also confusion on sizing. So online there are only half sizes, meaning 5.5, 6.5, 7.5 and so in. In store, I was told they only carry the same, no whole sizes. Apparently, that must mean only nowadays as I've seen private sellers online selling a size 6, which is my size. ... MoreI actually like this shoe look for women, men AND kiddos. It's a very simple shoe. If you think you know the feel of the material, you could be right. However, the material probably changes which size you choose. The slightly looser or larger size is good because the material maybe be susceptible to being ripped if the fit or size around the opening is to small, the material is flexible and it should not be especially likely to rip but I would not say the material does not stretch. If you put/slip on the shoe the opening does often stretch, maybe forcing a shoe to fit by use of stretch may lead to rip. If you want the shoe to fit looser than an exact size which leaves no room for the foot to move within the space of the shoe, then you may know now that's the reason I would suggest embracing that larger/loosened fit only ... MoreIt's a very simple shoe. So, depending on who is buying these shoes my review/consideration may be helpful.
I wanted to love these shoes. I reliably wear size 8, even in Vans. So I ordered 8.5 per the recommendation that they run small and ordering a 9.5 seemed insane since I've never in my life even worn a 9. Well they were too small so I exchanged for a 9.5 which ended up being too big. These sold out multiple times so why only make half sizes? They're so adorable I was really excited about them so the disappointment was that much worse, especially after trying two sizes.
Purchased a UK 9 and UK10 found the UK10 huge and would have slipped and rubbed all over esp being a bare foot shoe, I am usually a Vans UK 9.5. They feel comfy straight from the box fit great due to the full height heel ( unlike crocs ) and I believe due to the soft rubber material will stretch slightly over time and thus a UK9 will become a perfect fit.The colour of the blue is perhaps more mint green and the safety orange is BRIGHT vivid and eye catching but cool if you like that.Detail of the shoe is great with all the standard Vans signatures ie checkerboard, red heel stamp, toe protector etc. Great cushion sole. Not had long but hope the Vans quality is the same as street shoes. Like I say purchased 2 pairs and really happy with both.
