I’ve been looking for kicks that were good for walking & hiking the Michigan winters; something that would keep my feet warm and dry in snow, but not give the granola vibe.Yesterday the temp was 5 degrees in the mitten state, and I have no complaints. These Vans are not stereotypical skater shoes. They are super comfy and check all the right boxes for walking, hiking, and staying warm in weather. I wear them all day and really like them. If you are looking for warm and comfy, but don't want the typical hiker vibe, these are the right shoes for you.

I've always been a fan of the classic vans look and feel since my teenage days as a skate rat.....ok a few years have past but still love the look. The vans ultrarange exo mte-1 have not only that classic look but are a serious functional upgrade from the classics. Super comfortable and functional for outdoor endeavors.

I have been skateboarding with Vans since I was a kid and now that they expanded into this outdoor market I can use them for light hiking and mountain biking! They felt a half size too small on the first day or two when walking around. Now they feel great! They are still a bit too tight with thick wool socks. The materials on this shoe are really durable and look fantastic! I wish I bought a second pair before they sold out.

This is an excellent walking shoe that can deal nicely with uneven ground and little rain. It is a firm, but comfortable, fitting shoe that will be good for most outdoor uses.
Really cool shoe, just didn't fit my Fred Flinstone feet. haHaving to pay for returns is lame.
