LOVE Vans and love that they make shoes for toddlers. However, their shoes aren't ideal for new walkers since the soles are too thick and not very flexible. I'm unfortunately going to have to return these but will purchase once my son is older.

I love Vans Slip-Ons and how they look on my boys, but sizing is a crapshoot! Some pairs fit well while others are either too big or too small. Lately, I've found that the the opening on one of the shoes is too narrow and impossible to get my son's foot in to. But the opposite shoe fits fine. This has happened twice in the past 2 months with two different sizes/colors. My kids have narrow feet too. Very strange and frustrating.

Vans are great for children and adults alike. They're always very comfortable and supportive, with great designs to choose from. My two year old granddaughter always chooses her vans over her other shoes!
I followed instructions on how to measure my toddlers foot again and again. I got the corresponding shoe and it is about an inch and a half too big. Sadly, these were four weddings we were supposed to go to and now we're out of luck. The sizing is absolutely awful. They run so big. Don't know why they bother with a size guide...
I based my sizing on the current vans my son wears, which were some velcro ones size 9. I knew the shape/sizing may differ with slip ons. I went half a size up with 9.5, and once tried on, it was much too large. I may have to go a full size down to 8.5, which is half a size smaller than the vans he currently wears. I re measured my son's feet which match the 16cm it says inside the shoe, as well as other size guides available online. So either these are mislabelled or the sizing is way too big. I hate having to faff around with returns, and re purchasing when there isn't a van's store locally. I'm not quite sure whether I should now purchase half a size down as well as a full size down to make sure I get the right fit, which is a bit awkward to do.I do however, ... Had no idea they did this before the other day :) Once I've got the sizing right, then great! I bought the matching pair for my 7 year old and the sizing for those are spot on!
We love these checkboard Vans for my 4-year-old and 1-year-old. They are easy enough that both kids can put them on by themselves, and I now just buy them each a new pair as they size up (eventually the 1-year-old will start wearing her brother's hand-me-down Vans, but for now she gets new ones). I love that the kids match too :)
Really nice shoes but the sizing is way off. Ordered my son's size in an 8.5 and they were way too big. So ordered an 8 instead and they won't last long. Cute for now but I'd be weary of sizing as it's not the same as other vans.
Love the style selections for toddlers. Been wearing Vans since my own childhood. Unfortunately buying online for growing feet has proven unsatisfactory. Second time the size guide was wrong.Go to the store for toddler sizes.
Ordered my toddler his fifth pair of Van'sHowever these Van's are nothing like the other four checkered pairs .. Valero!? low on instep .. we are totally confused as too why we have these
