I have really dry skin and live in a really dry place, I have been looking for something for my skin for a bit and then I stumbled across thus in my local dollar store. I was a little skeptical because why is in the dollar store; however I decided to give it a try since it is a brand that I trust and it did not disappoint. If you are struggling with dry skin definitely give this a try.

Vaseline is always amazing but this intensive care nourishing moisturizer is just beyond amazing for really dry skin. I wash my dishes in extremely hot water to the point where I have cuts on the tips of my fingers from the dry skin splitting and nothing would help . Lotions, oils, everything. Then I started using Vaseline intensive care and after a few days my hands felt so amazing, hydrated, soft and they stayed that way . Best lotion ever especially if you wash your hands a lot or use hot water. This is a game changer 😀

Unfortunately I don't really like this particular products formula. It feels sticky and gross. I personally loved the old formula... where all you had to do was use it daily and your skin looked and felt wonderful. It soaked into your skin, no greasy residue and it actually worked! I got the scentless one because I didn't want a scented one on top of my deodorant. I bought the small verson for convenience.... for purses or on the go. I have to say packaging is perfect.

I used to use this pretty often, especially during winter when my skin would crack really bad. To top it off, it didn’t help that i kept washing my hands so it really messed up my skin barrier. It really does its job at healing the skin and rebuilding the broken barrier. It took at most a week to recover. Its got a thick consistency and is a little bit greasy but i believe those qualities are what gives the quick healing. If you’re looking for something light, this might not be what you’re looking for. It does leave your skin soft as well. The scent is also a plus, it smells really good!

Beware NOT "Intensive Care Essential Healing"

Beware that Vaseline doesn't make the same, "Intensive Care Essential Healing" lotion anymore. I noticed I couldn't find the Intensive Care Essential Healing lotion in Walmart stores anymore so I went online and ordered from Walmart.com because they still show the same picture of the old bottle which actually says, "Essential Healing" but they sent me the new formula called, "Nourishing Moisture" which is what they carry in their stores. I liked the old formula because it worked well and didn't have a strong fragrance and I didn't want to experiment with buying and not liking anything new. I compared the old with the new and the new has a slight fragrance to it which is not too bad but I simply don't want any fragrance. Hands feel great!

I am one of those people that can't wash their hands without following up with some form of moisturizer or lotion. I can't bare the feeling of dry hands/feet/elbows. Because of covid, I actually wash my hands way more than I used too, so I go through alot of lotion. Decided to try the Vaseline moisture, because it says it offers 48hr hydration. I can tell you that when using it, I don't have to apply more after each hand washing. My hands don't immediately have that chapped, dry feeling. My daughter, whose cuticles are dry and constantly peeling, due to dryness after washing. She feels that it defeats the purpose of washing, it you apply lotion afterwards. Because of how badly hers cuticles are, bleeding etc, I asked her to just try it. I hate the new formula

I’ve used this lotion for years and loved it. I recently bought a new bottle and noticed a difference the second I smelt the first pump. It went from a very nice light warm scent to an almost floral perfumey scent. It’s not overpowering thankfully but I don’t like it. My major complaint however is that it is just so clearly not the same formula. It’s not as creamy and leaves my skin feeling dry and sticky. Just so awful. Comparing the ingredients on the old and new bottles, they added several new ingredients including alcohols. I will not be buying this lotion anymore, unless they go back to the old formula. I’ll probably have to throw away this brand new bottle because I just truly hate how it feels on my skin. So disappointing.

Terrible new formula

I used to love this lotion because I have extremely sensitive skin that makes nearly all lotion feel like acid upon application. This was the only body lotion that didn't do that. I'd had huge older bottles of it so I was a little behind on the formula change. I recently bought a newer one and while applying it, my skin felt like it was on fire. I compared the ingredients (since I still have an older bottle) and they've changed them. I assume to save money? I will never buy this lotion again and both my husband and I would have been lifelong customers.

The below formula change reviews are true

All the below reviews about the changes and diminished quality are true and I'm heartbroken. I used this lotion religiously for years and it was incredible. I need petroleum jelly in my lotion and this was perfect. It wasn't greasy, and was thick and creamy. The lotion now is thin, watery and incredibly greasy. I think it's telling the new bottle no longer has a red banner that says non-greasy and it is very tiny on the back so it kind of says it but can't declare it loudly. I was hoping the changes weren't too bad, but after applying it to my arms and legs before bed, I was itching all night and had to take a shower again. The difference isn't subtle, it is incredibly noticeable. I'm not sure what I'm going to do now, the lotion had been apart of my bedtime routine because my skin dries out after my shower before bed. I'm not sure their is a significant amount of petroleum jelly in it which is the entire reason I choose Vaseline brand. I'm beyond disappointed.

be forewarned

I don't think that this is a "bad" BASIC lotion/moisturizer, but I personally don't think that it should be referred to as "intensive care" or "healing". Given those descriptors, I thought I could use the lotion on skin that had been freshly shaven, but - holy cow - did it sting! It was actually quite uncomfortable, borderline painful. I'm guessing the problem is the fragrance in it, but I'm not too sure. I would just suggest using relatively serious caution when deciding when/where to use it. I think it works okay in general when the skin is totally fine and intact...but do you really need "intensive care"/"healing"in that case?
