Best sneakers ever.

Once you get the right size these are the best! I had to go a whole size up. For reference, I usually wear a US women’s size 8-8.5 and had to get a European 40 in this style. They are comfortable right out of the box. I love the removable insoles so I can slide in my orthotics. The are easy to clean. A wonderful ethical with no compromise on quality or aesthetic. I hope Altitude Sports continues to carry Veja!!

Shoes are sold by the EU sizes even though it's advertised as US sizes. So for example, I ordered a size 9, but got a 8.5 because I didn't realize I was ordering a EU 40 not a size 9. So def false advertising and super annoying that unlike most retailers, they don't have a disclaimer in the description saying they are sold by EU sizes.

I have had my eye on these for a while and will use them for general wear. They are very light and look great. They also come with both black and pink laces. I would suggest sizing up. I’m size UK 4.5 and got a 5 and they just fit. I usually wear size 4 in VEJA.

Just ok

I was so excited for these to arrive. They look nice and have a cool style, but They aren’t as comfortable as I imagined, and something about the fit is off. They make my feet look clunky and wide. Also the tongue comes up very high and is very structured making it quite irritating. For the price I thought they would be super comfy, but unfortunately not the case.

Only buy if you are a Whole Size

I love the design of this shoe, it's gorgeous and I so wanted it to work. In many shoes I am a 7 or 7.5 US, and 38EU, in running shoes I of course size up to 8.0/8.5 depending on the brand. I purchased these in both a Women's 7(38) and an 8(39), since only whole sizes are offered. The size 38 was okay in length but very tight on the sides. I attempted wearing the size 38's around the house for the day, and it was clear they were way too narrow. I then laced up the 39's which were ridiculously big; there was comically too much shoe fabric.I'm so disappointed because again I love the look and the feel of the shoe. The insole and outsole were superior to my Nikes, Brooks or Asics. I'm literally trying to figure out if/how they could somehow work but truly they are too tight in width (and I do not have wide feet)

I bought these trainers in November and loved the style. They get absolutely filthy due to the colour. The cushioning in side seems to deflate. The fabric edges have also collapsed around my foot so no support. Deeply disappointed for a sweaty Betty recommended product. Last trainers I had from you lasted 4 years and have done over 100km.

Size 44. Comfortable enough for "casual" use.
18 July 2022

I typically go for a 44 euro when purchasing euro sized footwear. I fit a 10-10.5 USA in most footwear, including hiking boots, depending on the brand. These run large, a little long and wide to most footwear I've ever purchased in sized 44euro. I have medium width feet and medium height arches. "Normal" feet, some say. My feet fit most footwear comfortably out of the box and usually just get more comfortable. These shoes seemingly had an unusual break in period. They're fairly comfortable after a couple months of wear but, I do NOT feel they're worth the list price of $170 or so. Seems crazy to spend close to $200 on a pair of "casual" sneakers but, each to their own I guess. I usually purchase used or on sale gear, wherein I purchased these in "excellent" ... MoreI typically go for a 44 euro when purchasing euro sized footwear. Seems crazy to spend close to $200 on a pair of "casual" sneakers but, each to their own I guess. I usually purchase used or on sale gear, wherein I purchased these in "excellent" condition for $90 in REI used gear. They were essentially new when I received them and in being so, I decided to keep them even though my feet were slightly floating around in the forefoot. Assumingly, 43.5 would have fit better with the medium cushion socks I generally wear. I tied the laces tightly and it seemed to help but, they looked kinda funny and scrunched up from it. Again, they seem to run wide. Didn't buy them for looks but, out of necessity for extensive full days on my feet at work and also for mellow walks on groomed trails. Later I had to loosen them, for the arches and tops of my feet started to go numb, especially if I was stationary for any time. Too tight. I now wear them somewhat loose enough to slip them on and off without untying them. Forefoot still slides around in them but, still comfortable enough for walking long days in them. Soles are moderately cushioned. Would not want to go scrambling actively about in technical terrain with them tied that loose. They're not marketed as that kind of footwear anyhow. Selling points for me was the always premium Vibram sole, seemingly good traction for most surfaces, presumably made from 100% recycled materials in Brazil, and the 90buck deal. Also, I wanted a light and breathable walking shoe for warmer weather. These are far from shoes for cold and wet weather. Weird complaint is that the insole would notably squeak when walking around in the quiet and still does after 2+months of everyday use. The black rubber sole did come unglued at the right rear corner of right shoe when I dragged my foot back to get up from sitting on ground. User error, perhaps? Besides that, they're holding up well and seem durable with moderate tread wear. Really, I'd have returned them for refund but, out of necessity I kept them and also the 30 day used product return policy had passed. I would certainly advise sizing down a half size. In my opinion, I can not justify the full price of this footwear. Yet, nevertheless are they comfortable, seemingly durable for what they're marketed as, and of descent quality. I do not recommend them but, can not rightly state they're of poor quality. Just size down, throw down some buck$ and walk around a bit. They're subjectively overpriced, yet descent walking shoes.

Sizes are off
28 November 2021

I love Veja. I always wear a 39/8 in them. The 8 in this style is really small, as the toe turns up in this style, so I returned them to get a size 9. However, the 9 is way too big. The shoe tongue is really long for a size 8 to size up so it cuts into my ankle, and they're much wider making the whole shoe sag a lot if you're an 8 having to size up. There's sadly no half size which would've been perfect. I ended up giving them away as I wore them in hopes I could live with it, but sadly not.

Stylish, comfy, and functional

Bought these for trail-walking but have ended up wearing them everywhere else too from grocery store to doctor’s office. The grippier sole is also helpful in winter. They run ever-so-slightly large—perhaps made for thicker hiking socks—but are fairly true to size.

Toe box is smaller
12 June 2022

I love the look of this shoe. I purchased for a trip to Iceland/Ireland for walking around the towns not in dirty white tennies. Couple things that make these shoes not perfect. 1) It is much more creamier in real life than on the computer screen so I'm not sure I'm loving the creamier look of the color. 2) when I first tried them on I thought they felt too small which was baffling. I am a classic 39 in almost every european size shoe. This felt small, but what I realized was the toe box was actually smaller than most athletic shoes (Nike, Adidas, New Balance...). I still had a half inch of room before my toe hit the end, so what I was experiencing was my toe hitting the roof of the shoe (hence small toe box). After I wore them around for awhile with very thin socks, or no socks I got used to the size of the toe box, and I have narrower feet. So keep that in mind. 3) Not as much arch support as I was expecting (I have high arches). Anywho....I'm keeping them for now. Trying them on with different outfits to see if the color still works for me, and wearing around the house to see if support is as good as my Nike Reacts . Bonus: they also come with fuschia laces as well as the black. Not sure I'll ever used those.
