I was looking for an alternative court sneaker that was comfortable, reasonably priced and great quality. I ordered these just to try, not expecting to like them, but these were shockingly comfortable right out of the box. They are not comfortable in the sense that they have a lot of padding like you would find in a nike sneaker. The insole feel is more firm and the leather is a little more rigid, like you would find in a high quality leather shoe. They did not have a tight or glove like fit that I often find in a shoe like this, but there were a few pressure points in the shoe that were only noticeable when walking. So I wore these around the house for a day and they broke in very quickly. Now they are incredibly comfortable and one of my favorites. I love these shoes!!! These are my first pair of V-10 and I got the white/black leather and I love it. I am a size 10.5 and got the size 10 and 11 and the size 10 fits better, the 11 is too big. Definitely size down if between sizes, since it's unisex sizing. I will definitely buy more veja from Nordstrom in the future!!

The sizing on these shoes is odd. Maybe they are unisex, so the proportion is off for me (female). They are one size too long (I had to size down) but a bit too narrow at the same time. I liked the overall style and colour, but I will be returning.

I bought these a few months ago and have been breaking them in ever since. I listened to reviews and ordered a size 8 even though I'm a solid 9, that was my first mistake. The shoes have somehow gotten more uncomfortable as time goes on I have blisters on my toes and even the side of my ankle from rubbing (don't think going up a size would fix this). When I first wore them I was warned about the stiff tongue so I pushed it to the side to break it in. The tongue is no longer stiff but I have 2 scars on my ankles from trying to break them in (exactly like the other reviewer).Overall, I regret listening to influencers and the like who said these were comfortable/would become comfortable and worth the money. They are so uncomfortable and I 100% regret buying them. ... MoreI bought these a few months ago and have been breaking them in ever since. Great looking sneaker that elevates your look. I also have New Balance 977H in white (nice/comfy shoe but not as stylish as these). Sizing chart didn't match the actual size of the product. I ordered W EUR40/US8.5 based on my foot length of 25.5. The box and shoe was labelled EUR40/US9. They are a wee bit big, but going down to EUR30/US8 might have been a bit too small in length. Wide-ish and roomy toebox. Insole is removable if you want to replace with orthotics. Like other reviews, the tongue is a bit long and might bother some people. If unsure about sizing, suggest ordering based on the length of your foot (JPN/CN). The shoe size incorporates some space for comfort.
I initially bought a different style with the 3 straps, however, it just did not fit right as the straps would not close all the way (even with bigger size). so I exchanged them for this style which is okay but they just run narrow. I've been wanting a VEJA so I'm keeping them, however they're not fully worth the $$ IMO.
I'm not the one who write reviews but I feel like I just have to for this particular shoes. Before purchasing the black/white Veja, I seriously went on a thorough research because I really love the style and I prefer shoes that will go with many outfits! BUT if it was uncomfortable (per other reviews) then it wouldn't be worth paying much for it. After months of research (right size, narrow vs wide, comfort of the tongue etc), I finally decided to pull the trigger. I'm usually a true size 38 (Eu), which is size 7 in the US but after reading and listening to reviews from different sites (youtube, zappos, amazon , pinterest) that this run big, i decided to go with 37, which is only half size smaller. OMG its perfect! Lots of room for thick or thin socks. Another main ... MoreI'm not the one who write reviews but I feel like I just have to for this particular shoes. OMG its perfect! Lots of room for thick or thin socks. Another main concern was the tongue. Yes it's true its long but in MY OPINION, it wasn't uncomfortable like the other review says. Of course, every brand new shoes needs breaking in and so thats what I did. Wore the shoes around the house, placed the tongue on the side (left and right) and tried bending it multiple time so not so stiff! I must say, I felt very stylish wearing them for the first time out in town! So yea, I love them!!
I purchased these for a trip to Paris and LOVED them. I didn't have to even break them in before walking around all day and being comfortable in them. I went a full size down as recommended online and I am glad I did, but if you like a bit of room in the toes half a size down would be perfec.
Unsure which style I would like, I bought the V-10 (all white w. black V) and V-12 (white upper w. black V...tan “gum” sole) to test. Here was my take:I bought both shoes in a size 40, which is my size. They both fit true-to-size for me.The V-10 had the thin, hard tongue that everyone complains about. The V-12 has a fabric-backed tongue, which is still hard and on the thin side - and about an inch too long - but it is a little less rigid than the V-10.Both styles fit similarly, so I ended up choosing based on my favorite aesthetic. I picked the V-12 because I liked the gum sole, which not only looks cool, but it won’t show dirt as badly as the white-sole styles. As others have said, the shoes were not comfortable out of the box. I picked the V-12 because I liked the gum sole, which not only looks cool, but it won’t show dirt as badly as the white-sole styles. As others have said, the shoes were not comfortable out of the box. I had three issues:Issue 1: I have an average-width foot, and the toe box was a bit narrow at first. Fix: They became comfortable once I broke them in.Issue 2: The footbed. I have a very high arch, and these shoes (both styles) have zero padding. Fix: I added an insole. Problem solved.Issue 3: The tongue is too long and was rubbing against my ankle. Fix: I tried the “pull the tongue to the side” trick, but within 10 steps, the tongues kept working themselves back to the top. Fix: I ended up just folding my tongues under and tucking the last inch or so under the laces. This works perfectly for me....and I actually like the look better without the long tongue sticking out.Break-in time for me was two full days of wear...walking 5-6 miles each day. On day three, these were super comfy. These shoes - both styles - are so stinking cute, and with the break-in and minor fixes, they are now comfortable enough for me that I can walk miles and miles without complaint.Definitely worth the trouble.
These could’ve been the coolest sneaker on the market. It’s so retro and stylish, I love the look of them. But they completely dropped the ball on comfort like everyone else says! They feel like they’re made of plastic. The shoes don’t bend comfortably, for me personally they kept bending on the pinky toe and rubbing it raw, even though there’s plenty space inside. The tongue of the shoe is also uncomfortable and stiff. I don’t understand the designers of this shoe, how did they fail so bad. They need to release this shoe once again but an improved version! Then I’m certain they will have so many more glowing reviews! I would definitely repurchase!
