I bought these discs because of the good reputation of Verbatim. I am very happy with the discs. I had had a bad experience with Memorex blue ray discs for some reason. Memorex problems don't seem to be their hardware but something else like how that brand is coded legally in Canada. I have made one disc to date of the Verbatim. Because of the capacity of blue ray discs I expect the discs to last a long time. I am very happy with the Verbatim technology.

These Verbatim BD-R 25GB discs are pretty much the best you can get. They are HTL and should read as VERBAT-IMe-000 MID code. Whether CD, DVD, or Blu-Ray, I've always followed the manta of burn at 1/2 or 1/4 of the disc speed and I still have cheap discs that work two decades after burning them. For these 6x discs I burn at 4x (which is as low as the burner allows) using ImgBurn on a Pioneer burner and have had great success.

The quality is...well it's Kodak? Burns @ x8 with LG burner x12. The printable surface is smooth** full hub white. Disc bottom is dark bronze. Not much details on package for the surface other than printable. I thought Kodak would be more geeky on this. The surface is an average level, nothing special like Sony super glossy or something, just average smooth, hoped for something better. My thought: save the money buying expensive brands, those are well made discs, you will always get some bad discs even with higher brands it's just luck. It's only matter of preference, if this disc spec is what you looking for, go for it. Have gone through 41 BD-R's from this purchase, and not one coaster yet. Using with Mac & Toast Titanium with an internal LG (WH14NS40) Burner. Previously, I was using Optical Quantum BD-R media, but was getting about 5% failure after purchasing a new internal drive. These seem to be writing well with the LG drive.
These are supposed to be a top choice for archival storage. One recent package of two had 1/25 rejects on verification of the copy. The other has so far been almost 20%, which is completely unacceptable but also (given the time to work through the backup process and consumption of the other usable discs) unrecoverable. I have a third stack of 25 in queue---depending on how that goes, I may need to look at another brand.
When I first saw the spindle I thought there wasn't any space available on the surface of the disks to write a label on them, but after I opened the spindle I saw that what appeared to be printing over the entire surface of the disk was just a piece of paper on top of the first disk. There is printing on each disk, but it only covers about 1/3 of the disk and there are lines on which to write your label. I haven't tried the disks yet, so I have no information as to whether they record without errors. I use a lot of blue ray disks, so I am pleased that this spindle has 50 disks as opposed to the 15 disk spindles that I have been buying previously. I think that the price per disk is significantly lower as well.
branded surface,50pk.,Simply the best! I've been burning a long time,and tried all the cheaper brands. Never a coaster with these. Worth the extra few bucks. I also only burn at 4x speed,not the max. I'm at 3,149 discs and counting. Also prompt and sometimes free delivery. Watch for the discounts!
I got four of these as there was a substantial discount at the time I ordered. They worked perfectly at 6x on an ASUS USB3 external, LG internal and Samsung external that was only USB2 (connected thru a USB3 port). I recommend these discs but expect to use a permanent marker on them as they are branded and did not work with my CW-50 Disc Title Printer. I dd not want to spend the extra money to get one designed for a printer. I used Nero 2017 and Nero 11 to do the 6x burning.
I love these Verbatim Blu-ray disks! They are HARD, and are rated to last at least 25 years! The only downside is that these disks have the VERBATIM name and Logo on the face of the disk - Makes it kind of hard to write labels with a magic marker without it looking "busy". Next time I am spending a few dollars more and buying the WHITE FACE version - which you can write on easily and even hand-written labels won't look messy or "busy" (confusing with all the logo's and manufacturer's Titles on disk if you use a BLACK magic marker!
