This unit does everthing you would expect of it. Unusual connection to computer has two USB imports with one too USB 2.0 and the other USB 3.0.

I use this to backup my movie collection. Windows does not support blue ray play back. As far as I'm concerned this is the studios giving us the green light to rip our blue rays for personal use. I do this and it works perfectly.

Appears to be well made and does the job for which it is designed. Compact for a tray loading unit. It is a plug and play item that works perfectly with my Mac. I find it interesting that it is automatically recognised as a Pioneer Blu-Ray device which makes me think that it is the same as Pioneer which is no bad thing. It is a pity that it is not in a brushed silver finish, but as it is out of sight most of the time, this is only a minor gripe. I've had some difficulties writing to DVDs, but this is more a problem with the Mac software than the writer itself.
This blu-ray player was excellent at meeting my client-intellectual means. My current clients are happy with this product and so is spongebob! Thank you so much Community!
