Spindle speed is 5400rpm, not 7200rpm as advertised
This 4TB drive has the capacity as the 3TB which it replaced.
I do a lot of card making so this external drive is ideal for all my files so as not to clutter up my laptop. So easy to use, just connect via usb and it's ready. Transfers files in no time and I've got everything to hand in the one place.
It should plug/play on a windows 7 pc, but it doen't, now to late to send back
Pros: - It arrived;- And Works for saving data, still one week only used;Cons: Would say: Bad points.- Disk size available - 3.6TB NTFS format? Appr 10%+ less.- Attached software is from 2010???, out-of-date, and does not work (W10 pro). The Verbatim support stated, “it doesn’t matter, just use it”???. It freezes and does not allow seamless Backing, Formatting, etc., practically all included.- Provided cable, USB 3.0, is very short, less than 14cm. Most analogues are with USB C type already and longer cables.- Price: compared with analogues as size Verbatim is about 25-38% more expensive.- Support, technical spec: Sincerely surprised of the fall of Verbatim in quality of products and services…
