This is great lid that has passed the test of time. It is made of heat-proof glass. It can go in the oven. Cleans right up virtually non stick. Heavy duty. I love these old lids for everyday use.

It comes as a set, named as the 56 or 56S , the difference being that the TD56 is mostly flat bladed/minus drivers, and the TD56S is mostly cross/+/plus type drivers. If you get both sets, you are really up to the task of dealing with all Japanese screws, be them flat or pure JIS. Necessary for hops like repairs of lenses, optics, electronics. It's a badly designed kit. Maybe it compels you to buy the other kits around. Thats because the flat screwdrivers are way too small and at least the biggest cross one is too large for most purposes. So those extreme sized ones are a bit useless and easily could be replaced by flat ones with decent size, maybe 1.5 mm and 2 mm, then I wouldn't feel its a badly designed kit but the opposite. Despite all that, the quality is good but the price is a bit high for it. Theres some more design issues, But the main one, in my opinion, is the fact that the rubber doesn't hold quite well to the body and it tends to slip if you don't press tight enough, so you have to use extra force on it and you wont have it for unscrewing, you loose it in the rubber. Haven't had a chance for a lot of use yet, but so far they work as advertised. I have several camera lenses to overhaul later this winter; I'll know a lot more by Spring. The supplier was excellent to work with.
Good quality tools, easy to handle and good looking (not necessary important for tools but nice to have). The price was also very good - I paid 17,50 for it, including shippment from Japan. It was delivered withing about 8 working days.
This is a must for anyone repairing cameras made in Japan. You will not destroy the heads of JIT screws with a Phillips screwdrives. Get one now.
Save up for something of better quality. My tools ended up bending. The grip barely holds the tools, you'll want to glue it on or something. Looks good when you first get it but, not as strong as I thought. I would recommend saving up and buying a trusted tool kit.
This is not just JIS but it is JCIS (Japanese Camera Industrial Standard) like all smaller Vessel screwdrivers. JIS/JCIS fits PH but not the other way round. It is made for that purpose, cameras, watches and similar. Every screwdriver fits perfect as it should without exception. If one needs longer, then the Vessel 9902 Set is perfect. I use Vessels since a few years on a regular basis and am very happy with them
I am so happy with the lid. It's a perfect fit, no chips. Makes my vintage casserole dish whole again and in perfect vintage condition.
