I bought this mower a few months ago and it is having serious issues already. It's only a few months old and I'm already either going to have to take it to a mower mechanic or get a new mower. As many other people have already stated, the oil cap doesn't screw on, therefore it pops out randomly splattering oil everywhere. This only needs to occur once for it to ruin your mower. The fact that Victa cut corners on something like a screw in cap for oil is beggars belief. It needs to be removed from sale. Do not buy this mower. Also, the badly/cheaply designed oil cap appears to be a design feature on other Victa models as well, please check and avoid.

Best mower on market . No mesh bin to kick back dirt while mowing.No bits of cut grass left behind ,clean cut and straight into plastic bin.awesome mower.

1 year old and I hate this mower. Very hard to pull start when hot. Almost rips out my shoulder when it hits compression and back fires. I'm a 90kg weight lifter. Does. Not mulch at all just leaving strips of lawn. Catcher works but needs to be emptied much to often

Bought this mower and used probably 5 times in total. Mowed half the lawn and stopped. Rang the Bunnings store (Bundamba) to ask for help and they said I had to take it to a nominated mechanic to get fixed provided I hadn’t voided my warranty . The product is less than 5 months old. No offer of an exchange or refund. Rubbish mower and unhelpful staff.
I have always liked Victa Mowers, the motors are strong workers However, I wish they would put as much time into the rest of the mower, First time using it, the air filter box kept popping open and no amount of re shutting it would see it stay, not only pop open but the filters themselves would jump out, Good ole Gaff Tape on my Brand new mower fixed that Then the raiser kept jumping out of the setting it was in, constantly, I had to get a file and make the setting dents deeper just to get the lever to catch. The throttle body kept coming off the handles and now is tied on with zip ties, no amount of locking nuts would keep it there. The Grip on the handle has already torn and thank goodness the Gaff tape I purchased for the air filter has come in handy again. If you are going to buy this mower, makes sure you by a roll of Gaff tape with it as well oh and after 5 uses of the mower the fuel primer has cracked and broken, had to replace, I keep this mower undercover all the time, I might just have to hang it on the wall after 5 uses, never to be used again This mower had promise but showed that it is the worst value for money
Terrible mower. Wheel hubs worn out and fell off not long after 12 months. Cant replace with universal wheels as hubs different size and genuine wheels are not worth the price for cost of mower. Mower also leaves a trail off grass even when catcher is empty which is very annoying. Should pay a bit more for a Masport.
I bought this a few weeks ago, so easy to push and cuts brilliantly. Had my last Victa 15+ years and was still going, but wanted to upgrade. Very happy and no complaints
It is a bad product. The oil dipstick pops out after using it for 30 minutes. On looking up found that this is a common problem with this mower. Unfortunately, I only found this out after buying this mower.
bought Victa 18" Classic Cut Anniversary Edition Mulch Or Catch Petrol Lawn Mower a couple of days ago. Put it together today, added oil, added fresh petrol, primed it........nothing.
very powerful heavy duty mower. it doesn't slow down going over heavy grass. the catcher works well. I would recommend this mower. best mower i have ever had.
