These were to replace an excellent and otherwise identical significantly smaller version of these pliers. I was finding, with advancing years, these smaller pliers needed more hand force than I now have. Unfortunately the new larger pliers have been a bit of a disappointment.The look and workmanship of both pliers appears excellent, however the new larger pliers appear less sharp and need more effort to use. Additionally the concertina spring seems to snag easily and the catch difficult to engage. Unfortunately I have had to revert to my smaller pliers which I have had for over 10 years.

I have used Trim clippers for years. I finally had to replace them, and the set I bought were HORRIBLE! After a bit of research, I found out they are no longer ‘Made in America’, and the build quality screams ‘Made in China’. I figured precision made in Europe had to be better, and I was delighted to find that to be true! These are well made, compact, strong, and so sharp! I don’t have to get the file for every mail after cutting! Thank you for putting out a quality product!

The tweezers are awesome, except for two things. First the paint comes off just because setting them down. They should really not paint them at all. Keep it bare metal. Second, if you accidentally drop them, the point gets damaged easily. It doesn’t seem like the tip is properly hardened.
I had hoped they would be especially sharp. Perhaps they are, but the short lever allows so little pressure that clipping is still difficult with them. They need to be full-sized. I'll probably put them in my tackle box to trim fishing line. Definitely not worth the money.
Unfortunately, the Nail Clipper (8.2055.C) only looks nice. Using it is so much worse than even no-brand Chinese clippers. Why? Cause of the design... I'd like to see Victorinox engineers using it themselves. The nail file part loosely fiddles, getting in your way to comfortably hold the clipper and you have to do an extra effort the whole time using the clipper to keep the nail file part rubbing against the lever or pricking into your palm. Secondly, the clipper's lever is straight and too smooth - fingers pressing it keep sliding off towards the cutting side. Really annoying. These clippers are fantastic!So easy to use even with my non-dominat hand. Been looking a long time for a quality clipper that didn't require Herculean effort to use. This product is it! Thnx!
Look really nice, spring actions is good. I got the pliers and they were so so so dull, I thought it was a defect and asked for a replacement. Second set of pliers were exactly the same. My other Victoriox nail clippers are the sharpest I've ever had, so I'm really surprised. Can't use them as is.
Lately at work, I have been getting broken nails which have been really annoying. I wanted a nail clipper that was easy to take to work. This fits on my keyring and is small. Judy fold out and use. Great quality. Just right for the job.
Do not let their small size fool you. These nail clippers cut fingernails more effortlessly and cleanly than anything else I've tried. A big improvement over the other Victorinox clipper with the folding nail file. The high quality and effectiveness of this product justify its price tag.
