How did I feel when I first opened this gift? Perplexed? Bamboozled? Flummoxed? Absolutely! But within a few hours I realised just what I'd been missing. What I donut, only went and locked myself out on Christmas Day didn't I! Thankfully I had this trusty widget to hand and used it to pick the lock with ease. I'm forever indebted to Victorinox for this Christmas miracle!

Unless kept in pristine condition, the durability of one of these in a wallet, where a card should be kept, was negligible. A wallet that is in constant use warps and has pressure put on it, something the plastic casing did not fully account for in the first generation.I should say I have not bought the current generation of Card Swiss Army knife, but plan on stress testing the latest generation (and will update the review accordingly).

Bought this as an everyday carry item, and it has not disappointed! The amount of times myself or someone else has needed the scissors, knife, tweezers, and even the pin. It's now invaluable to me. If I lost it I would buy another. We also pop this into our first aid kit for tramping - has all the little bits we need and it's all securely stored in the one place so you don't lose things amongst the bandages etc

I got this Swisscard as a gift from my son’s father, it lasted longer than our marriage! It’s essential to keep in your purse or wallet, so you’ll never be without necessary tools! It’s VERY durable, and impresses your friends with your foresight and planning!
I liked this Swiss card as it offers a very complete set of tools that remind me of my Executive pocket knife. Although is is a wallet card, my Swiss Card case broke from carrying my wallet in my back pocket. Unfortunately, there are no replacement cases..I glued the case with CA and it is still holding! But I rather use a regular picket knife than the card due to its fragility
This is a wonderful tool. I grew up in Switzerland, and I remembered having one of these as a kid. I ordered one for my wallet, and it is very nearly the perfect wallet accessory. The only two downfalls, in my opinion, is that it does not have a bottle opener (I normally use my teeth), and it is a little bit too thick. I have a large wallet and a card holder. I keep this in my wallet because it is too thick for the card holder. It ads some serious bulk to the wallet as well.If you want to buy this for your wallet, you have to be comfortable with the thickness. Other than that, the price is fine (a little expensive, but so is everything else from Switzerland) and the design is great.
I have had one for years and it has been invaluable. Just remember that you can't take it in your hand luggage if you are travelling by air. Pack it in your suitcase before checking in.
I have had the backpack for approximately 3 weeks now. The stitching has completely undone inside the laptop compartment. I would have expected much better quality from such an expensive product.I use the backpack daily for work, so sending it back without a replacement is not an option. After contacting the Swiss Store, they said they would ring me back and yet still no answer.
These is both useful and extremely practical piece of kit. Their design genius is that it is so easily and discreetly carried. It fits snugly in the back pocket of my (men's) jeans or inside my wallet. Equally useful for a female to keep in their bag/purse. I can pull my Swisscard (Swissy) out of my pocket 20 times a day. The knife and the scissors are used most & the pen has upon occasion, saved my day. I use all the tools on a fairly regular basis and am fairly hard on it. I've regularly used them in extreme (alpine) environments both here in NZ and abroad (deserts) . I've been through half a dozen Swissys over the past (15?) years that I've been carrying one on my person. The fact I've broken so many is not a reflection of their poor quality. fine, the knife isn't super sturdy and you won't skin a bear with it, but it's just what you actually need on a daily basis - opening letters and parcels, cutting string.The scissors are great, I've used the file countless times too. The only thing I've never used at all is a pen, because a good pen is part of my EDC anyway.Actually got the first one as a gift, and thought it was a joke, turns out it's an AWESOME tool.As it's very cheap, you can easily replace it should it go lost. The build quality is adequate considering the price (I HAVE broken two of them actually).
