I connected this monitor to my Marantz - SR7015 audio/video receiver so I'd have information available at my fingertips with respect to Setup and music streaming information (for example, DLNA ID tags, Pandora, Internet Radio, etc.).I connected through the mini-HDMI port (cable is provided, however, it was too short for my purposes so I bought a longer one. As a power supply was not provided I re-used one of my Anker USB-C chargers, which works very well.Giving it 5 stars because this monitor was exactly what I needed.

I hooked this monitor up to my Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro and it creates the split screens automatically. With the Viewsonic monitor, my ATEM mini pro, cameras, and laptop I can configure an fully capable multi-camera portable video recording studio anywhere!

I purchased this monitor for when I travel and plan to work remote. It is just compact enough to fit in my work bag yet big enough to offer me the advantage of using two screens to work from with my laptop. This thing looks amazing, is super light and best of all has passthrough charging which eliminates one cable. Monitor comes with everything you need to get started. The quality of the screen is amazing.

I was looking for a good monitor to travel with so that I can extend my screen and work more efficiently while on the road. It needed to be big enough to be effective, light and thin enough to fit easily in my backpack with my laptop, and have high enough resolution so that I get plenty of lines of email in my inbox or stats on a spreadsheet. This one does the trick on all counts. Plus it only has the one USB-C cord so no extra power pack or cord to carry other than the small one. It works great for the hotel or anywhere else, and is very effective when working with a partner who also needs to see the screen. The thin cover/stand is simple and Effective. I definitely recommend this monitor for travelers.
I bought this monitor a while ago for an out of state travel and loved it. In the past, I've used my laptop only, but being able to have two screens is a huge help. The monitor itself is very small and is on pair with my laptop. Easy to pack and doesn't take up much space.
Still loving the reactions I get when I’m setup in a Starbucks using my portable screen. The monitor is adequate and is in line or better than what you pay for it. This stays in my business backpack and is a great addition when doing presentations in client meetings. Glad I bought this, it has made me more money than I paid for it.
I bought this for when I travel, I have taken five trips and the stand has already broken, it now only lays in the flattest position which is not productive at all. In the process of trying to find a stand I can attach or eat the money and buy another brand.
As a ViewSonic customer, I was thrilled to learn of this product, which I needed for travel purposes. But the flip out stand, which is very important, broke almost immediately, and I treated the product impeccably, always in its protective case, etc. I was simply opening the stand from the back and heard a cracking noise. It looks like a thin piece of plastic cracked and now the stand doesn't work. Otherwise the display works fine and suited my needs perfectly.
The screen is so light, it is hard to believe it's not a toy. The image quality is very decent - i am not able to compare it to other more expensive options, but so far for the basic office work - it is works great. Plug-and-play, i didn't have to worry about any setup; only increase light and contrast on the screen itself. I bought it with additional 3 or 4 year insurance, so if you are worried about fragility of components (like i was) - additional $30 for insurance is a great option.
Like: Very light weight. Just connected with laptop and working immediately.Dislike: Only worked with one of my laptops, no signals on others.
