I think after using this, I won’t ever go back to using a regular mop. It was refreshing to not have to keep bending over and wringing out the mop in-between goes. There is a bit of a learning curve though. You really need to remember to keep the head of the mop flat on the ground when you’re mopping, otherwise it will scrape along the floor. I didn’t realize how much I tend to lift the mop while cleaning, so it took a few minutes of use to realize what I was doing wrong. Once you get the hang of it, this mop is a lifesaver. My only complaint is based on another person’s Amazon review: if the mop itself breaks, it’s hard to find a replacement of just the mop. My review is for the Vileda Rinse Clean Spin Mop Bucket System. I have been looking for a fast and easy cleaning solution for some time now, and I am so impressed with this product. Having the 2 chambers in this bucket is my favourite function, as it enables you to remove dirty and excess water from your mop, and you are always cleaning with clean water- no more washing with dirty water ! This mop REALLY works and the mop head picks up soooo much when mopping… much better and more effective than a flat mop head. Does the job

Bought this mop after 10+ years of having a flat mop because of good reviews.Pros: easy to use, makes for a quick clean up, cleans fairly wellCons: foot pedal for spin feature seems cheap, I don’t think it will last. The mop head often scrapes the floor, if the mop tassels don’t line up perfectly.If you are used to a flat mop; I don’t think long term you will be happy with this mop. However if you have never owned a flat mop; I think this is a good option.

Flaws but works ok

Works ok. Bought it to mop down my sealed concrete patios and it worked great for that. I find the bucket to be super flimsy, and it doesn’t even stay level when using the handle (one side is always heavier than the other) so it’s awkward to cart water back and forth. For this reason, I’ll use the bucket in the bathtub when cleaning, so I don’t have to bear-hug a bucket of soapy water to move it around :). Also, buy the extra refill! Handy if you’re using different floor cleaners for wood vs tile, as an example.

Good overall cleaning system, but flawed in a key area.

my recent Canadian Tire house brand (Frank) sponge mop broke after 1 use. So I decided to try this moping system. The 'salad spinner' bucket is genius! It works exactly as you'd expect, you never touch the wet stuff! Just soak the mop in the water ( push up and down a few times ) then gently place the mop into the spinner push down gently a few times to wring out most of the cleaning liquid. Then again gently squeeze down the spinning pedal with your foot, while holding the mop handle upright make an 'O' with your hand two or three pedal pushes is all you need to wring out the mop perfectly!Ok now the reason I didn't give this system a perfect score, is the mop itself, the design is TERRIBLE. I've found after wringing it you plop it down in a vertical motion to the floor so the fibers of the mop spread out in all directions, then you have to maintain constant pressure to keep them that way. If you don't do this the mop fibers collect on one side and the red plastic cover makes contact with the floor during your mopping sweeps! Bad design!

Great Spin Mop with one Exception

This is a great spin mop with ONE exception (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5), The telescopic handle is its weak point and tends to break (not hold/lock when extended) after constant use for a few weeks. Since the handle alone does not appear to be a replacement part that can be purchased, the only solution is to drill holes and permanently fix the handle in the extended position with sheet mental screws. As far as the spin mop itself, it's well designed, works like a charm and probably the best mop of this type we've ever used.

I love this mop

I bought this from Lowe's a month ago and it's been great. I had an issue with the handle of the mop locking but I fixed that easily. The foot pump to spin has worked great too. I did wish the mop would be less wet so as to dry quick but I find using very hot water and opening a window works. I love the removable mop head. I have 2. One for each floor....hardwood and tile. Excellent clean on both and no white fluff left on the floor that I had with a previous well known mop. The bucket is large and that works well for me. No problems with the plastic frame of the mop head hitting the floor. Also got this on sale. Which is always a bonus. I haven't put them in the washing machine yet. I hope they clean up well.

It's good

I chose this over the split bucket version because of complaints that the buckets are too small. I haven't yet found anything about it that I don't like. I've tried many mops over the years and it's the best I've ever used. I find it easy to use and the floor really is nearly dry, just like they say. I'm hoping that the recommendation to change the mop head every 3 months is just marketing noise and that it can last much longer than that. But I'm glad the replacement heads are reasonably priced.

Much better than the swiffer.

Muvbmore thorough and not as messy as the mop and bucketfrom the past. I really clean the floor. It doesn't shove the degree into the corner like this swiffer crsp foes. My floor is clean. My friend comment what do I.fo to make my floor look so clean. Itell them I use a vileda. They all gasping claim hei floors have never looked yhst great and thy use a swiffer. I tell them my process. Then they sll say they are going to buy a viledathey all hytalk sbou how long I takes to do their floors and it seems to be less time consuming.
