Cereal, anyone eat cereal for breakfast today, this week, this month? Purchased these bowls to serve ice cream, yogurt, and other desserts. They are also great bowls to serve watery side dishes, like pickled beets. BTW, as they are microwave safe, I have used them to prepare oatmeal. Great serving size.

All-around practical; classic with a quirk

This whole line - Manoir - is fantastic. It's simple but has interest and the design of these bowls make the set. They're deep enough to feel right for soup, cereal, a small salad, Chinese take out, or a generous ice cream serving. But they're shallow enough to fit well in the dishwasher, and stack in our serving drawer about 5-6 high. Villeroy& Boch - you can't beat for timeless quality. Have a set of 12 each dinner plate, small plate and bowls, and use them all daily. No worries either with our 8 and 10 year old.

Cereal bowls misshapen

I ordered all the pieces, including serving pieces, mugs and cereal bowls. However, some of the cereal bowls are misshapen, same as vegetable bowls, and porcelain finish doesn’t come all the way down to the bottom, rough and dry feeling. I’m not sure why the bowls would be finished differently, but poor quality. Really torn about what to do. Can be hit or miss swapping them out.

Different Size!

I was surprised that these were a different size than our older cereal bowls. I think the color is slightly different, too. This will be OK for us, but if someone is interested in exactly the same size and same color.....

Elegant looking

Beautiful collection with clean and simple lines. Bowl is the perfect size for a small salad (2-4 people), or can be used for so much more. Ex: mixed veggies, potatoes, rice, fruit.

Live it!!!!

Bought it last month. It’s very pretty and stylish. The delivery was quick. However, two bowls were damaged. The customer service was very polite and caring. The replacement bowls were sent same day!!! Got a replacement within a week! It’s an example of a perfect service! Very satisfied. Will definitely buy more from this wonderful company.

These cereal bowls are beautiful. Simple elegance. Just the right size -- capacity is 16oz to the rim, and that means it holds comfortably 12oz of food. Kudos to Macy's for perfect packaging. I ordered 4 of the bowls twice and not a single one had a problem. I have used Villeroy & Boch dinnerware for a couple of decades. Love the quality and beauty. This line of Manoir is great to mix and match my existing ones. I appreciate these are Made in Germany!

Manoir cereal bowls

I love these pretty cereal bowls for fruit and yogurt and even as small soup dishes . They match the dinner and salad plates I have had for many years. Such a great product.

Perfect proportions

I agree that this line needs to continue. It is classic and perfectly proportioned. The plates are not oversized and the design fits any color scheme, everyday or holiday use. I love that the plates are not oversized. V and B is about classics; those of us who are long time customers prefer this style to newer, elaborate, slick, angled tableware. Keep these pieces in stock, please! Telling me to coordinate with Petite Fleur does not always work in table settings where white or off white is needed.

Subtle addition...

Purchased to use with Villeroy & Boch French Garden dinnerware. I love these because they are a nice accent with any set of dishes. A simple, pattern free, piece that can be a workhorse for any setting, even my vintage Lenox! I purchased 2 during a recent sale and love them.
