2nd one cracked again, but just missed warranty

The next week my replacement got a crack in almost the same place. Since the first I always put my milk and water in and let the frozen fruit soften a little thinking that would make a difference(which once again by company claims should not be a worry). We have had two of these containers and both times we have had the same issue with cloudiness. We have tried the vinegar solution to no avail. Durability is also not what I would expect for a $150+ container. My wife dropped it from countertop height and it broke. This is clearly user error, but I would have expected more durability given the price.

I had previously used the taller original container version for years, to process my restricted dietary requirements. When it started to leak, I sort to replace the container as the gears and motor are still in good working order. Unfortunately, although the lower profile option originally made this an attractive option, it does not process my food in the same way and am forced to add more water to process the ingredients. I think this is because the wider base has does not give the same depth of coverage for the liquid ingredients. I have tried adding the ingredients in every possible different combination, order and all together. The additional water ruins the consistency and ultimately the meal. Very disappointed.

Fits Under Cabinets, but...
11 March 2023

This container is nice because it holds 64oz AND fits under my cabinets while sitting on my Classic model Vitamix machine. However, I find it requires a larger volume of ingredients to blend sufficiently vs my taller, 64 oz container. Also, no matter what volume of ingredients I blend in this Low-Profile container I believe blends of the same recipes at the same volumes in my taller, 64oz container are always smoother in the taller container.

Good, but stainless steel is better.
10 August 2022

If it weren't for the innovation of the stainless steel container I probably would think this was excellent. But Vitamix has improved. The shape of this container is great and it is versatile. But it does scratch and stain over time. Not a big downside, but things to consider now that Vitamix has the stainless steel option.

Great blending jar but needs some work...
22 March 2019

I bought this jar and find that it blends almost as well as the regular height container for my usage, mostly smoothies with fruits, veggies, and greens.Great that it fits right under my cabinets! But....the pour spout needs work and I have no idea how the current design made it out of the first round of testing. Any liquid with any kind of thickness simply overwhelms the pour spout. I have tried going slow enough to have my smoothies pour exclusively through the spout but that made it take forever to fill my glass. Pouring at regular speed (of the taller jar) means that you flood over the pour spout. At that point you might as well just pour out of the side of the jar itself and ignore the spout. Also, the larger based sometimes allows some food to escape the ... MoreI bought this jar and find that it blends almost as well as the regular height container for my usage, mostly smoothies with fruits, veggies, and greens.Great that it fits right under my cabinets! I blend my drinks for a minute and yet I have had whole blueberries and raspberries still in there. I think they get caught up in a vortex rather than getting pulled into the blade. This only happens in this jar. My taller jar with the smaller base blends everything like a champ.I wouldn't buy this size again and storing the container next to the base is not a space constraint for me. If you have the space, then skip this container and stick with the regular profile jar for a better blending experience. The regular Vitamix base is AWESOME! The regular profile jar is AWESOME! The low profile 64oz jar..If I could get them to swap this stupid thing out for the larger one I would. Used the settlement coupon and feel like I wasted it.

HATE IT - leaves chunks in my smoothies
26 March 2023

I hate this pitcher so much. The wide base just doesn't pull the fruits into the blade as well, and I ALWAYS, 100% of the time, end up with chunks of fruit in my smoothies. I've been dealing with this for 2 years at this point and am finally throwing in the towel and buying the old tall skinny one (which I had before and it worked beautifully but I dropped it and broke it). Also, the lip for pouring is too flat -- it pours the smoothie out terribly, making a mess every time.

Large low profile container
25 October 2022

The container came with the Vitamix 750 Pro I purchased. I like the low profile feature, it fits under the kitchen cupboard/cabinet. I have used the vitamix with the container to make single serve smoothies (which consists of 1 cup cold water, 1 cup frozen mixed berries, 1/2 frozen bananas, 1/4 cup of pre-soaked almonds, 3 tablespoons milk powder, 1 tablespoon flax seeds). I was initially concerned about the outcome since the total ingredient volume was below 3 cups for the large container, I was concerned that the consistency may not be smooth. However, the smoothie turned out just fine.

Terrible container
13 February 2023

I was so excited to finally save enough to purchase my Vitamix. I’ve had my Vitamix for a couple of months and I can’t believe how terrible the quality of the container is. Cloudy and dirty after just a few months of everyday use. A product that costs over $600 must come with a higher quality container. I’ve tried the vinegar and scrubbing... it doesn’t work. When it costs roughly $200 to replace, that just sent feasible. Not very happy with my purchase.

Will Dull Over Time
11 October 2018

I have the low-profile 64 oz container and it fits nicely underneath my kitchen cabinets. However, there's two things about this container that you should know.1) The pristine container will eventually dull over time and usage - in the same way as a car headlight eventually dulls over time. When I first bought my Vitamix, the container was crystal clear and beautiful. Now, after countless smoothies over the years, the acidity from the fruits/vegetables have dulled the container. It's still usable but it just doesn't look as good cosmetically.Vitamix says to clean the container with a vinegar and water solution. I've tried that and also soaked the container as instructed. Unfortunately, it doesn't help with the dullness.2) The lid is made of rubber which looks great when new. However, over time, the inside of the lid also dulls with use. The rubber lid will get a funky odor that won't go away no matter how much I scrub or soak it. The dullness and odor comes from the acidity of the fruits/vegetables that I use for my smoothies. This is inevitable. The removable lid stopper has small crevices in it that loves to catch residue from whatever you're mixing. It's impossible to clean the lid stopper crevices. I took a small knife to scrape off the residue and even that didn't completely clean it.My solution was to spend $16 for a new lid from Vitamix. Later, I'll pony up the money to buy the new 64 oz clear container with the clear lid.I still love my Vitamix Pro Series 750. The blender works great and the dullness/odor only affects how it looks cosmetically. I only wish that Vitamix would've designed the lid and container better for a blender this expensive. My review is only for the lid and container, not for the blender itself.
