At this point I'm nitpicking though. If you want a performant 23mm for Fuji (or Nikon), don't mind manual focus, and want something a little cheaper/smaller/less clinical than the Fujilux 23, this is the one. Makes me lust after the APO 35, which I've heard is even better.

This is a lens I was really looking forward to using with my XPro3. It is very well built, and has a great feel to it. The problem is that when using the depth of field scale, it simply does not focus properly. I tested it in several scenarios (including settings for both pixel basis and film format basis within the camera's menu) and thought there may be a problem with my copy. But I discovered that this issue is well-documented online. I returned it for a refund. Disappointed that I could not use this beautiful lens in the way I intended.

I bought this lens for street photography, assuming that zone focusing would be a snap. It is not. There is definitely a learning curve. Now that I own it, I find myself using it for other applications, mostly wide open. Focus peaking works flawlessly. It is not a clinically sharp lens like the new Fuji 23mm WR. But it has a lot of character and produces a dreamier image.

I'm really enjoying my new Voigtlander Nokton 23mm F1.2 lens! Manual focus using focus peaking is working well with my Fujifilm X-T4. There is some chromatic aberration when wide open...but nothing that can't be correctly easily in post processing. I would definitely recommend this lens and will likely buy the 35mm Nokton in the future.
I prefer a fully manual lens on my X-Pro3. I want a clickable aperture ring and a distance scale on the focus ring. This lens fits those requirements very well. I have both Fuji 23 mm lens (f/ 2 and f/1.4) and they are excellent lens, but manual focus on them is a focus-by-wire with no distance scale on the lens so I have no idea where the lens is focused without looking in the evf (or the display screen which defeats the purpose of the X-Pro3).
My Fuji xf 3/2.0 is a good lens. I does the job. I wanted something better. I was afraid of the bulkiness of the 23/1.4 WR. I decided to give manual focus a try. And my father's camera was a Voigtlnder . It is love at first shutter release. I love the way it changes character at different apertures. I love the 3D effect, the color rendering...To me, it has no flaws. It has a tremendous personality that is terribly exciting to play with

I am very impressed with this lens. I am currently using it on a Fujifilm X-Pro3 and it's perfect. This is the first time in years that I've used a manual focus lens, but focus peaking makes it a piece of cake. I think the lens is plenty sharp enough, and I love the rendering. The build quality is excellent. As soon as the 35mm is back in stock, I'm ordering that one, too.
Finally after a lengthy period of search I decided to acquire this beautiful lens. I am not fun of changing lenses on my on my camera too often. With this lens I can accomplish almost everything. It's well built inside out. Quality wise I am also so impressed with the sharpness for such a very fast lens. And the vintage looks and feel makes me so comfortable since I come from those days of manual control and enjoyment. Attached to my xpro3 I now have the perfect combination. I recommend this versatile lens for every day use since is the almost perfect focal length for any situation. Love at first sight and now that I own it is an eternal happily ever after!
The the best lens in my collectionTruly love itI'm considering to buy the 35mm f1.2 lens and the only reason keeping me from this is I already have the Zeiss 32mm g1.8 lens.The quality of this lens is a different level in Fuji lens line.The iq is great with warm nostalgic look.I strongly recommend this lens but please be advised this is all manual lens.If you need AF look for any other options available on market today.
