They also help move the cooler & warmer air-conditioning into other parts of the house. The Vornado is compact & quiet except on the highest setting. I use it through the night just on low & it creates a pleasant breeze. We also pop them in if we go away to holiday houses. We have had them around 4 years & are hoping they last well & can be repaired if necessary. Really only downside is that they are hard to clean. So far I would & have recommended the fan to many people .

I bought this for a smaller room (after buying the larger one for main bedroom). These fans dont disappoint and circulate the air really well. They arent silent, but I have no issue with the bit of noise they make. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a great product at this price point.

Wonderful unit that is quiet, and really moves some air!Small footprint, but big air circulation keeps the room from getting stale.Nice design, and good quality plastic makes it feel sturdy.Little bit pricey, but if you're sick of buying a cheap fan every year when the motor burns out from long hours, this may be the perfect solution. So far, the low setting seems to move more air than medium on most of the cheap units.Low setting is perfect for most use cases, but if you need the high setting, it can get noisy.Overall, this fan is wonderful. (I went back and bought a second one!)
Love our newest small Vornado. Bought a new one after having our original Vornado for 5-6 years. The only reason we had to replace the old one was that hubby accidentally tripped onto it. This version is smaller then the original but still disperses air around the room with no problem. Even with the size, we thought to get the medium, but turns out we didn't need to. A much better fit. Perfect size for our room!
Strong fan for its size. However the adjustable pitch is poorly designed as there’s no integrated pitches or any resistance/stoppage to firmly keep the fan at a desired angle. Moving the cord alone will adjust the pitch. Also contributing to the poorly designed adjustable pitch, the rotary switch is placed on the fan portion itself rather than the base portion; adjusting the speed will always adjust the pitch of the fan.

At first glance, one would think that it is like most other fans of this size, specifically, just lightweight pieces of plastic that are made as cheaply as possible. Not so with this fan. It has enough heft to it that it won't sit on a table or the floor and vibrate and rattle from being out of balance. Also, it puts out a good stream of air at all settings, despite its compact size. And at the low setting, it is very quiet. It's so quiet, in fact, that even with it sitting on the floor directly next to my chair and running while I'm watching t.v., I'm still able to hear without turning the volume up. This appears to be a very well thought out and constructed fan that should easily last many years.
Compact, highly efficient sir movement and cooling in my full on traditional Xmas roast cooking kitchen . This little guy is worth every penny. Much better,even air movement and circulation than a fan. It maximises comfort in hot humid weather, and no remote control to get lost or get flat batteries. Yay!
I've owned this fan for 4+ years. It's not known for being quiet, perfect white noise for sleep. Attemped to replace with a tower honeywell dual fan (to remove from countertop). The Honeywell had a oscillating feature with no remote and there was no comparison (returned). I ran them side by side. My Vornado doesnt oscillate, but it was undeniable, Vornado moves more air. I wouldnt recommend this stationary fan if you dont like a lot of noise. Also, the fan control tends to fall off. It needs a permanent Fixture for fan speed.
This fan is less noisy, moves way more air, and is built more solidly than any small tabletop fan you can buy at any big box store. The metal slide bar that allows you to tilt the fan up and down is solid but very sensitive and has trouble holding the desired position. Would’ve given 5 stars if not for that one inconvenience. Overall great and would recommend.
